Oh, today is such a great day! Why, you ask? But there's the European Championship of Basket starting today! Oh god, I am THAT excited! Well, apart from the fact that I will have to be at the pub when the match is on. And that the VCR isn't currently set up. And I don't think I've got a VHS I could register it on anyway. BUT WHO CARES! Basketball! Lots of it! On a big screen! I honestly can't wait! I only found out yesterday that it was in Spain, though. :( Maybe, if I'd known before I could have forced persuaded someone of the guys to come to Spain with me and see it live. And maybe get a chance to see Nuri, too, before or after. ;P

Then again, I did have something to keep me occupied these past few days.

(Here I am cackling madly, in a very evil-overlord kind of style. It's doesn't come over too well if you're reading a written text, so I figured it might be worth mentioning.)

(Oh god, if only I could make a job out of being a tease.)

So... do you remember an old entry of mine? The one where I basically went nuts and started talking about incomprehensible projects/plans/whatever? (The first person who says "yeah, okay, we've read your journal, now would you please say which entry you mean" will get a slap under the head.) Refusing then to elaborate further? This one here.

Well, it's ready. And up. And running. (Also away from me. Oh god please make me shut up...)

So, yeah, my idea of a HP tribute for the end of the series is to focus on only two secondary characters, with a heavy accent on an entirely hypothetical romantic relationship between them, as recounted by just one person in the whole fandom - and GUESS WHAT, IT'S THAT PERSON'S BIRTHDAY TODAY.

(Which, yes, is why this day is great at all. :P I do love basket something atrocious and obnoxious, but this is more important. :D)

(Also, see why I didn't want to say which deadline I'd chosen, days ago? Kinda hard keeping it a surprise from her if I had. :P)

So... this is all for you, Cate. Happy birthday. I hope it'll make you smile. ♥

Title: General Tales of Ordinary Madness
Character(s): mainly Remus and Sirius, but there's a little cameos with James, Peter and Lily.
Rating: G to PG.
Warnings: Just some boylove!
Notes: Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon!

Title: Young Men and Their Gangly Limbs
Characters: Remus, Sirius, Lily, and A Cake.
Rating: G. Mostly. PG for some half-naked boys? And a almost kiss? Which is apparently the only kind I can draw?
Notes: This is for [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon and [livejournal.com profile] spacedye_vest, who are hands down two of my favorite persons in the whole wide world. And no, I'm not exaggerating. Incidentally, they're also illustrations for Young Men and Their Gangly Limbs. ...the pics, not Cate and Ni. (Ha, ha, ha. Oh god, make me shut up.)

Art dump!

Title: Sunrise
Characters: Left to right, Peter, Remus, Sirius and James. Yep, the Marauders. :)
Rating: G
Notes: For the birthday of the wonderiferous [livejournal.com profile] nassima! How I adore that woman you have no idea. :D Sorry I couldn't do anything better, sweets. :( It's just... if I keep procrastinating I'm afraid I'll get things done in ten years at best, and I wanted to have something ready on the day, at least for once.

Title: In the whites
Characters: Sirius!
Rating: *sigh*
Notes: For the Cate! :D Oh, this is a month old at best, methinks. Point the first: I have no merit on the body, I practically copied it off a photo. :P I had no idea what a cricket player wore, so I took a look around... and found a perfect one. :D As for point the second, also known as "what the hell is this about?" - I shall have to point to this entry. Reading the first point should suffice.

In other words: for the first time I've drawn fanart for a fanfiction that doesn't exist yet. ;D

Title: Be Good and Keep The Faith
Fandom: Poppy Z. Brite's Liquor series! :D
Characters: Oh, a certain G-man... *whistles*
Rating: G (c'mon, I can't change both fandom AND rating. I might make you go into a seizure.)
Notes: Quite some time ago, I came home a bit late and decided to read something before going to sleep. The book I was reading at the time was downstairs, The Value of X had just come home (*g*), so I thought, "well, I might read the first pages."

I stayed up until 5:00 am to finish it.

When I reached the last page (by pure force of will, three quarters of my body were asleep already) (reading in bed will do that to you...), read the last words... I had this sudden, crystal clear image of Gary waiting for Rickey at the airport, a smitten, happy smile on his face. And I realized I had to draw it. (Although my mind, at that, added firmly "NOT RIGHT NOW".)

Believe it or not, but while it was undergoing the scanner-treatment I felt like I'd been running a marathon.

...which, considering how long ago it should have been ready, is not completely out of order.

(Ni? THANK YOU. Grateful beyond words.)

(Yes - this, not the other, is the piece I stopped working on to take a pause with the Harry/Cedric pic. Speaking of, read Something Else. Something Better yet?)

Title: Home
Character(s): The Marauders! Left to right, Peter, Remus, Sirius and James. :D
Rating: G
Notes: I did this a while ago as Cate's new banner. :D (if you're thinking of using it for, like, icons or stuff - I'm very flattered, but I'm afraid it's a no-no. :) )

The best part is that I couldn't help imagining the animals talking, in the tapestry. Snakey has the face of someone who's telling a lewd/stupid story, the kind you hear in bar, and which is usually false, but still plausible enough; Gryff's raised leg might mean he's telling Snakey "come on now!", but the bland expression suggests he's probably wondering whether what he's raising is true or not; the badger has this sufferent/resigned position, like he's sighing to Raven "what are they talking about again...?", but Raven snaps back "don't bother me! can't you see I'm doing yoga?"

I swear I hadn't smoked anything at the time.

So, here's my late-in-coming birthday gift for Cate. When I realized what had happened (:P), I had to pounce on the first idea that crossed my mind (and that was likely to get done in reasonable times.) I wanted to have it done as soon as was conceivable, but I'm not been much at home&able to draw lately, and it turned out rushed enough. I'm really sorry about that.

Title: Can You Keep a Secret?
Rating: G. Once again.
Notes: So, last 3rd od September the celebrations for a certain [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon's bday begun. This is my own contribution. :D Thank you, Cate, for being both such a good writer and such a lovely lady. :D

ETA: Changed picture a little little bit.

Also, I remembered to add something that SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE ALL ALONG.
