Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] __hibiscus!

First of all, a notice - I haven't got a single comment notification for a solid week now. I hope the problem will be solved soon, but in the meanwhile, if I haven't answered a comment of yours? There's a very, very high chance that I haven't seen it at all. :) It also means that if you've got anything important to tell me, you'd better send me an email. ;)

On the other hand, about HP7 spoilers, since they're starting to circle in my lj-corner as well... if you're planning on making (or if you already have) a spoilers filter? Please, keep me out of it. :) And if you're not going to, I'm really appealing to your common sense and/or courtesy - please, use lj cuts, mark them clearly as spoilers, all that jazz. I would really love to keep myself unspoilered until July, if possible. :P I'll be careful and pay as much attention as I can, but, you know, all kind of help will be appreciated. ;) Thank you in advance! ♥

(I still can't forget how I'd managed not to hear anything about OotP (not too hard, that, I didn't even have this account yet) and on the day of the release? On the newspaper I've always read? In the very last line of the (unsigned, obviously) article about the book, in the cultural section? I find "And the readers will finally learn that the character dying is Sirius Black, (and in case it wasn't clear enough) Harry's godfather". God, but I was one pissed off monkey that morning. :P)

...you know, I'd better figure out how to keep me entertained during my online time, in the days between the book release and my actually getting a copy - last year I did this, and it DID entertain me for days - though I was quite close to the I-can't-bloody-take-it-anymore stage by the end of it - but there are only so many times you can tag every single entry you've made in your own journal. (Namely, ONE.) I'll really have to figure out something.

It was eventually released her in French... though I'd rather stick to the English version. I wish I could have the Japanese version to compare teh different versions. :)

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, sometimes you can find the raw versions around - after all, scnlators do have to work on something *g* - but... I don't know if it's be possible to find the DN ones. I'm afraid it's a bit too famous. (AND a bit too licensed.) :/

[identity profile] remeciel.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
The more famous it is, the less expensive it becomes in Japan - I mean, in the second hand bookshops. *g*
I may consider one day if I can travel again to Japan to buy these! :)

Btw, do you know any good websites with an interesting list of original mangas (nro even not the original!). I'm desperatly looking for a series I'm absolutely in love with and I can't find the following...

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
You might do that. ;D

I think I might have the thing for you - http://www.manganews.net/ is a site where is listed every single manga that was touched by english text. Licensed titles and scanlated title alike are on there - and with the scanlated titles, they give you a link to the scan-group(s) that is (are) taking care of them. I tracked down everything Saika Kunieda thanks to them *g*

*tacklesglompssmooches*
Thank you SO much! :) I wiull find my happiness there. *dreaming*
Saika Kunieda? who's she? I've never heard of her. A yaoi mangaka, perhaps? :)

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome! ;D

...you don't know who Kunieda sensei is? WE HAVE TO REMEDY TO THAT AT ONCE.

I like everything she's done, but the mini-series EVERYONE AND THEIR MONKEY has to read - IMO *g* - is the one composed by Mirai no Kioku (http://www.loveless-melody.com/projects/mirai.php) (download here (http://www.loveless-melody.com/b2/main-hosting.php) and here (http://www.loveless-melody.com/b2/main-downloads.php)) and Kaze no Yukue - which is on Doki Doki (http://www.aragami.org/doki.php), but it seems that the site isn't loading? *panicks*

[identity profile] remeciel.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
The site works perfectly with me. *g*
So fart I think I've known the works you referred to without being able to put a name on it. Now I REALLY know her. *g*
Thank you so much for the tip! :D

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup - it was a momentary problem with my own connection. ;)

You mean you'd heard of her? :D

You're welcome!

[identity profile] remeciel.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Not of her personally, but her works'titles, yes. I'm sure I saw them written, crossing my path without me stopping by. *g*

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! No, false alarm, it's there *g* And Kaze No Yukue is here (http://www.aragami.org/kazeyuku.php). I first read this one, and I totally fell in love with it. It's both sweet, and silly, and funny, and... *sighs* Try it, you won't be disappointed. :D

[identity profile] remeciel.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I could have found it in the same website I guess. *g*

I'm now downloading the very first chapter of the first volume. Really, I should work now... really. *g*

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
But I already knew where to look for, didn't I? That was it was quicker *g*

And honestly, everyone should be obsessed with Kunieda-kun. ;D

I hope the distraction turned out to be a pleasant one *g*

[identity profile] remeciel.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
*laughs* Indeed. I just read the first pages of the very first chapter. It's a bit unsual from what I read so far. :)

[identity profile] kasche.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it? :D Oh, it's got me hooked up so bad. (After talking about it today? I had to reread Mirai no Kioku tonight. ;) ) One of the very few stories I know without the seme/uke stereotypes ;)

one of the very few stories I know without the seme/uke stereotypes

Dear, this is SO rare to find any!
I was looking for some when I used to live in Japan - it was like trying to find a treasure among the crappy and the plotless yaoi mangas I read, and god knows how many of them I was forced to read to read an interesting one. *gg*
