At any rate - I took the inspiration for this from thistlerose's Three Weeks Outside Time. This actual scene, with Sirius saying it out loud, never happened - but Sirius did think it more than once.

That is just beautiful, Bruni! Beautiful. I lovelovelove the look expressions. Remus' face is full of astonishment, but in such a good way. And Sirius is so intent and passionately Sirius. It's wonderful.

And thank you. For the Monkey and the letter and the picture and for being you and being so, so amazingly wonderful. You really are the fabulous. And of course you shouldn't think that just because the Monkey's here taking up space that there's not still room for a Bruni in the house if you do decide to show up on my doorstep (not that I'm suggesting you do that. But, well, I AM!!) :D

And I'm glad the thing got there! Although it was, ah, literally full of madness. (I might have reached the point where "sanity" sounds exciting, in fact...)

And oh, I'm SO going to spring on you completely unexpected. And if I manage to make you jump out of your skin in the process, I probably will cry in triumph, arm in the air. You know, crowd cheering noises and all.
