Round 1: the end!

(Of course, I make myself an "archivist icon", and what do I do? I leave it at home. Classic.)

So! The posting for Round 1 of [livejournal.com profile] rs_games is done and over with! All submissions have been posted (mine included, har har har) and you've got until June the 23rd to vote for your favorite ones (you know, wink wink nudge nudge. Oh god I'm shameless). We hope you would like to let our masterlist aid you in the process. *g*

That's the last time it will be updated, I suppose? I'll be starting a fresh new list for the second round, and something in me begun to wail at the prospect of adding a "by author" (reveals will be up next week) section to this. In case I might do one at the end of the fest, with the works from both rounds. In case.

Stats for Round 1

For the first round a grand total of 41 works has been submitted, of which 33 are stories and 8 are art pieces. Of those, 5 have been single panels and 3 comic strips; the average word count for the stories is about 5748.

Nearly all prompts have been used, except for Quote number 4 ("All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt." (Charles M. Schulz)) and Song number 2 (Wolf Song (Patrick Wolf)). The popularity of each prompt has been as follows:

Prompt

Quote 1 2 (5 %)
Quote 2 4 (10 %)
Quote 3 3 (7,5 %)
Quote 5 2 (5 %)
Quote 6 1 (2,5 %)
Quote 7 8 (20 %)
Quote 8 2 (5 %)
Quote 9 7 (17.5 %)
Song 1 1 (2,5 %)
Song 3 2 (5 %)
Pic 1 4 (10 %)
Pic 2 1 (2,5 %)
Pic 3 2 (5 %)

As for the genres, the most used & abused has been Angst (surprise surprise):

Genre

Angst 20 (50 %)
AU 12 (30 %)
Fluff/Romance 16 (40 %)
Horror/Adventure 3 (7,5 %)
Humor/Crack 3 (7,5 %)
Hurt/Comfort 8 (20 %)

(Final works count will not add up, since single stories/art pieces might lapse in more than one category. :) )

I guess we're not really the "old perverts" someone might want to depict us as being, at least not by looking at the rating distribution:

Rating

G 2 (5 %)
PG 8 (20 %)
PG-13 17 (42.5 %)
R 8 (20 %)
NC-17 5 (12.5 %)

(We did have G rated entries in the end. *sigh* Yeah, yeah, I know I'm partly responsible for it myself, but still. :P)

I guess that's all? I mean, I could say that no work has titles beginning with J, K, M, N, P, Q, U, V, Y and Z, while the letter S has been hit on the most (5 times), but, I mean, that's even less interesting than the rest. ;)

Anything else you'd like to see?

*looks at clock* Right, there goes my internet time for the day. I guess the more polical rant I had in mind (heart) will have to wait a couple more days. Anyway, the just of it was that we're screwed up, down and sideways.

On the upside, at least the last Subsonica album is kind of brilliant. ...which is not really much in ways of comfort, is it.
