Reflections

This was supposed to be my entry for the hp100 challenge of this week... but there is maybe too little of Grimmauld Place (the bathroom could be everywhere, after all), plus it's more than 140 words. For the challenge, I'll try to come up with something else. Maybe. Well, here it is.

Remus has been staring at his reflection, in the bathroom, for time enough to be noticed by Sirius, who has therefore been staring at him for the last five minutes.

"Come on, Moony, mornings aren't merciful on anyone."

"Idiot," muttered distractedly, followed by a "What do you see, when you look at me?"

Sirius' eyes widen. "What?"

"What do you see?" The voice is serious, the gaze firm. Sirius doesn't feel like joke it away.

"I see a man," he says, "a wonderful man."

A smile. Eyes and lips are warm. "I'm not asking you what you think of me. But when it's somebody else, anybody else, what do they see?"

"The question is," Sirius goes behind him, latches his hands around his waist and looks at their image in the mirror, "what do you want them to see?"

A pause. Remus reclines his head against Sirius' shoulder.

"This."

yes, those dashes. XD;; it threw me off a bit, as i'm used to seeing the quotes being closed, like "the question is," Sirius goes (etc. etc.) ".."

Once you get the hang of it, not much.. and I tend to be concise anyway, so I have way less problems with a 100w than a full-length story ^^;
