[Art] - Out The Window — Oh Jeez

Told you I'd do something more for [livejournal.com profile] wellymuck...

Title: Out The Window
Characters: Sirius and Remus
Rating: G, methinks.
Prompt: Day 2
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] nassima! I miss you, doll. I don't know if you're lurking or if you're completely offline, but at any rate, you'll be getting this in the mail not too long in the future, I bet. ;)

New scanner... Dad got one of those all-in-one deals, scanner+printer, and I'm still playing out with it. Don't know if I prefer the old one, though. Then again, it was pretty old - you had to be careful and pet it a few times, if you wanted it to work. Oh well.

Also, as for what the guys are looking at, you're pretty much free to imagine whatever you like, of course. Personally, I lean towards the "gossiping like old women" option - or maybe Remus: "Look at that idiot down there! He's just like you!" and Sirius: "Oh whatevs. *snuggles*" - but that might just be me being my very prosaic self.

Title: Oh Jeez
Fandom: Poppy Z. Brite's Liquor series
Characters: G-man and Rickey
Rating: Still G.
Notes: And this is for the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] jadis31, part of the thank-you for the wonderful gift she sente me - whoops, quite a while ago, by now. My way of saying "Oh hell, I fucking loved it".

I've been owing you this for the longest time, dawg.

And this comes from The Santa Clause at the Lakeside Mall - I won't say which scene it is, wouldn't want to spoiler it for anyone, but that little play - just like the other - is one of the cutest thing I've ever read. :D

Oh, no worries! ;D And thank you so much, you're always so, so, so sweet.

(YES YOU SHALL. Everyone should have the Liquor books on their reading lists. :D If you get around to it, then tell me what you thought! :3)

I should have the time to at least start on the series. The challenge lies mainly in summoning the courage to be seen in the Gay and Lesbian Fiction section of the local bookshop back home. It's an absurdly conservative town, and I'm pretty sure most of the shop's patrons consider the Gay and Lesbian Fiction section to be the equivalent of the pornography shelves. It's not exactly the type of place one is particularly pleased to be spotted in by one's parish priest or former elementary school teacher.

But I'm willing to make the sacrifice for the sake of a pair of well-written queer chefs.

Hehehehe! Oh, I do understand about that ;D Then again, my village is so small that it doesn't have a bookshop at all, so.

What about mail orders? I (necessarily) got my copies off Amazon. You'll get a pair of well-written queer chefs, and no one will tag you as a pervert. ;P

No bookshop at all? You poor thing! I'd go positively mad.

Amazon's definitely an option. Recently I've been trying to do more book-buying offline to support local business and reduce paper waste (and save on shipping costs...). But there's certainly a lot to be said for the convenience and privacy of mail-order. Hmm. Decisions, decisions....
