[recs] - AU fanfictions
Sep. 26th, 2005 11:20 amYou know, last night I got the proof that I do love AU fics. There aren't many - which is good enough, in my opinion - or at least I just haven't found them. I found that I have a particular liking for the completely AU ones - as to say, not just those where single events are changed, but where the whole world around them is different. Like, what if the puppies never met, what if they were muggles, this kind of things. Maybe they appeal to the romantic girl hidden very deep down in me; after all, it is like saying that they'd still love each other no matter what. Still, they're different from the "James and Lily never died and Peter went buggering himself off somewhere" kind of AUs, because they still hold a certain margin of uncertainty. I admit I do love bitter aftertastes in stories. Sue me. ;P
And, well, I just plain like seeing characters I love, being able to recognize them, in settings totally different.
These are the few I can remember right now, and which had me fascinated the most.
All the stories are complete, and the sparkly lines are the last added. :D
Now, I'm asking for your help. :) Are there AU fics you particularly liked, that you'd like to rec me? (Please?)
(Yup, the sparkly ones are the latest additions. :P)
