There is the lyrics meme, the movie meme, the ten lies&truths meme... and not a fanfiction quotes meme.

So, I'm giving it to you.

(Hahaha, I so ripped it off directly from the last round... :P)

Some of you might remember this from last time. I saw people were having fun, so I thought, why not do it again? Behind the cut you'll find ten chunks of prose from ten different stories (by ten different authors), and all of them are Sirius/Remus. (Or Remus/Sirius. You know to me it's the same.) Tell me either the title, or the author, or even just enough of the plot to let me understand you know which story it is, and you'll get Points - and for the one who gets more stories, there might possibly be a Prize. :P

It's... pretty much all, I'd say.

All comments are screened! I'll post the results sometime in the next days.

Good luck, and have fun!

Guess The Fanfiction Quote Meme 2!

  1. Sirius Black was many things, Remus decided, but never subtle. Once again he was being pinned down by Sirius’s weight and forced into a rather brutal kiss, and this made him wonder just how he had let himself be dragged into such a stupid, juvenile Muggle game. Honestly. Spin the Bottle. They couldn’t even think up a creative name for it, or at least something more accurate, like, say, Rape the Lycanthrope.

  2. It didn’t help that he was bored. If he had been busy he might have been able to forget that Sirius was at home waiting, and been pleasantly surprised when ten rolled around. But as it was he had nothing to do but stare off into space and contemplate how lucky he was to be able to shag someone so dead sexy (this thought was usually a guilty one, and he would start trying to tell himself that it wasn’t that he only wanted to fuck him, that he loved him, and yes he did indeed but he needed to fuck him much more than he needed to love him right now), and also how unlucky he was that he wasn’t able to do it precisely this second.

  3. “James Potter is calling me an idiot. Tell me, James, are you familiar with the concept of irony?”

James smiles, but his eyes are serious.

“You’re supposed to be the clever one. If Sirius or me did something like that it would be because we don’t know any better. But you would know better, you’d know it would make him feel used and worthless. Either that, or you’re an idiot, and I don’t want to think one of my best mates is that manipulative, and so you’re an idiot.”

“You trying to make me feel worse, aren’t you?”

    “Is it working?”

  4. Sirius frowned, and felt his way carefully across the room. He'd been in there twice before, once to put dungbombs in the sinks, the other time to steal Remus' trousers and plant them in Lily's bed as a birthday present to himself. The moving Wizard's photos of James' face afterward had nursed him through some of the more difficult times in his life.

  5. Remus, relieved, had bent over and kissed the top of his lover's head. "Your brain is in your pants."

Sirius had tilted his head back, fixed him with bemused blue eyes, and, "Darling," he'd drawled, "after all these years? You should know by now that it's in yours."

  6. Laying him on the floor, it's obvious that Sirius is passed out, quite possibly for good, and that there will be no waking him. Remus glances around, then grabs a blanket from his sofa and spreads it out over the man. "You want to sleep on the floor?" he mutters, trying to arrange Sirius's limbs into a more comfortable position. "Who am I to stop you?"

  7. Sirius waved a hand as if to dismiss all questions. “Doesn’t matter. What matters is surrendering to the rain. Getting all whajamacallit. Fen. Pen. Yen.”

    “Zen?”

“Yes!” Sirius jumped directly into a puddle to emphasize the point.

The expression on Remus' face suggested his brain was hurting rather badly. “Since when do you know anything about Zen?”

“Since Matilda Swathbourne’s information session behind greenhouse number two in fifth year. I went ‘cause I thought it sounded like it had something to do with sex.”

Remus’ expression softened into one of pity. “Poor boy,” he said, patting Sirius on his extremely damp shoulder. “The things you did when you thought you were straight.”

  8. Remus remained frozen where he was for quite some time, so hard it was painful and trying desperately to come up with another explanation for Sirius' arousal than the Obvious Yet Really Bad one.

By the time he got to the library, Remus had come up with several plausible explanations:

                1.    Sirius was merely reacting to the physical friction of two consecutive wrestling matches.

                2.    Sirius was randomly hard. It happened.

                3.    Sirius wanted James.

All of those are perfectly reasonable, Remus told himself fiercely as he snapped his second quill in a row trying to restart his essay. Nothing is different here. There is no cause for alarm.

Remus bit down on his lip hard and tried to shake the sound of Sirius' soft whine from his ears.

  9. "This is a bad idea."

"You say that about all of our ideas, Moony." Sirius grinned cockily as he carefully gestured with his wand, earning a strangled shout from above.

    "Well they're all bad."

"Where's your sense of adventure?" Sirius stepped aside as a quill sailed down, narrowly missing his head.

"It stayed in the dorms. My sense of self-preservation tagged along instead. And it's not happy with me. In fact, it doubts my choice of friends in general."

  10. "It's almost finished; I think perhaps next time we may start putting the movement charms on it. I'll need to schedule a few sessions with you alone, Mr. Black -- Mr. Lupin is welcome to attend, but we'll need to concentrate on you in order to get the canine half of your personality sorted out quite right."

"If you're lucky she'll play fetch with you," Remus murmured.

"If you're lucky I'll forget you said that," Sirius answered cheerfully.

"You'd sit up and beg if I dangled a treat in front of you -- "

"Mr. Lupin!" Helena said, feigning scandal. Remus laughed. "Mr. Black, what have you done to my polite, obedient sitter?"

    "Don't answer that," Remus advised.

    "No fear," Sirius said.

Yup. I like banter. How did you guess?

You know, if there was any justice in the world, I would have done this meme using commentaries - now that would have been fun. If it wasn't for the fact that I've read a grand total of three. And the only one I found truly amusing is Cate's.

Oi! I recognize several of them, but I am certain that #10 is from Laocoons Children by [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller

The first one is going to haunt me until I figure it out.

Will we get links when the guessing is over? *flutters lashes* There are a couple I don't recognize.

9. For Whom the Pants Toll by SullenSiren.

I'm too lazy to link, sorry. I know 3. and 8. too, I just don't remember them right now. This is a brilliant idea, by the way!

Well, I feel a bit useless because I'e neer known one that someone was searching for before anyone else posted, but I think I know a couple of these.

1. Charm the Bottle

2. It's by FranticBabbles (Cold March Eening?)

7. Something to do with Sundays, I think. Did they co play fetch in the park and then make sandwhiches and such getting ready for the work week?

10. Laocoon's Children

This was fun!

Number ten is copperbadge's Laocoon's Children.

And number three is mine, although I don't suppose I'll get points for that. :)

Oh man, this is embarrassing. I've read at *least* half of these, and yet...I got nothin'. Except -- number 7 sounds like [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon, and I'm going to guess that the story is called something like "Any Given Sunday"?

*slinks away, a disgrace to her OTP*

I'm terribly certain that #5 is mine (wouldn't it be sad if I were wrong?) and I'm sure I wrote it a long, long time ago, before I knew what "bemused" really meant.

I wonder which story that is. O_O

I think I must have read at least five of them. I'm not guessing because I don't want to be terribly wrong and then smack myself in the head.

this is fun.

Oooh ooh! Number 8 is 'How to Transfigure Yourself a Rock Band' by Mousapelli, and Number 1 is 'Charm the Bottle'- by Longleggedgit. I think.

Oh, blast. I know I've read eight of them, but I can't for the life of me remember details. But! The first one is "Charm the Bottle," and the last one is from [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge's "Laocoon's Children." But I can't remember which year.

1.Title: Charm the Bottle
Author: Longleggedgit

9. Title: For Whom the Pants Toll
Author Name: Sullen Siren

I know a lot more but I can't for my life remember the title or the author. Especially number 2 and 3 sound awfully familiar. Oh well...

OOOH!!! OOOH!!! I KNOW ONE OF THEM!!! At least, I hope I do, because it's one of my favorite one-shots, and I've read it about 25 times.

Number 9 is "For Whom The Pants Toll"!

Gaaah. I know I've read 7 and probably others too, but I'd never be able to find them. But seriously, I need to read all of these. I remember the last time you did this meme, they were all awesome. :)

Hi. :) Don't mind me, harmless lurker who randomly wandered in here via [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics.

This is driving me crazy. I totally know what number 8 is from and I've been sitting here for the past YEAR or so trying to remember what the title is. XD I remember Remus is pining after Sirius and they end up in a closet somehow (I think after a prank?) and after a while Remus realizes Sirius is enjoying it a little too much and freaks out. Or maybe I'm just making that up and I'm thinking about a different fic entirely.

And I really want some links to those fics. Most of the quotes made me giggle like a madwoman. :D

1 I think it’s actually called spin the bottle, anyway, James and Sirius have charmed the bottle so that everytime Lily spin, it lands on James and visa versa and everytime Remus spins it lands on Sirius and Wormtail just sits.
2 I think it’s the library fic, were Remus is a Lybrarian and Sirius coems to visit, with red wine I think.
3 That’s easy, it’s the WIP of all WIPS, Kabeyk’s The Unconventional way.
4 No idea
5 an OotP one I don’t think I’ve read
6 Lay Low at Lupin’s, I remember that much, but most of them are so alike.
7 Hogwarts era on the roof, probably one of those “but I thought that you…” “But "I" thought that "You"…” conversations
8 Have read it but no idea which fic it is
9 Dating Disasters of Sirius Black? Funny how I only remember Kabeyk’s title’s
10 No idea
