Fever and Ramblings

Ok. While I was lying in my bed last night, delighting in the company of my flu, I thought of something.
I once said that the years at Hogwarts worked for Remus as a nest, a cocoon. I still think that. Probably the structure of the school, rigid but reassuring, backed him up rather effectively. During school, probably he was temporarily spared from dealing with RL issues, which in his case are rather nasty, particularly so when combined with his own internal struggles. The school, especially a college, is a little world all on his own.
But these lines of reasoning apply not only to Remus, but to every other student as well. Like Peter, for instance. I think he 'turned evil' only after the graduation. When he didn't have anymore his exclusive group of friends he could rely on- well, not that he didn't have them at all, but surely not the way he was used to. One way or the other, school spares you the need to worry over a lot of thing. While you're at school, you're still seen as a child, and it's not asked of you to take responsibilities. If you want to take them out of your will it's another matter and it's appreciated, but you're not forced upon it. Not until the final year, at least. While usually the passage isn't so abrupt or shocking, I realize that being in a war changes a bit a situation.. Honestly, I doubt Peter's betrayal had been the only one of that kind. It's only the outcome that made it so 'special'. So, well, in few words Peter chose to side with the Death Eaters because he was scared (and I'm sure I already said that, too) and probably because he saw everything precipitate over him, all at once, when he wasn't ready to support the weight. *shrugs* I think.
And if this nonsense was plain boring, or just obvious and banal, blame my flu.
What is funny is that today I came all the same to the University to attend classes. I have to be really ill, I've never done such a thing in all my school career. Bah.
And welcome to my Daddy! XD
