First of all, WELCOME ON BOARD to all the people who friended me lately! I have no idea where you come from or how you found me, but I'm glad you came and that you decided to stay. :D

(Also, on a smaller note, I was most surprised to see that the web counter on LJ has reached and went past the 100.000 mark. Woah. Of course, it's not really as impressive as it looks - while I always take care not to let any counter I'm using pick up my own visits, which I suppose might mean I'm kind of anal, and I'm afraid I probably am, most of them probably come from "repeat customers". I.e., my friends, the people I talk with, and we all know how talkative I can be sometimes, etc etc etc. Still, I'm provincial enough that the fact that since October 2005 people came here more than 100000 times quite boggles my mind. Wohoo!)

Okay, so technically I am back - still, dutifully take notice of the fact that I have not taken down the sign on the main page - after spending over a week Up North Italy, at the place of the girl who's been my absolute best friend throughout the whole of high school. Absolutely smashing week, during which I've known a ton of new people (whose names I still remember and (hopefully) still attach to the rightful owners - don't look at me like that, the two of us never really lost contact, but we did have a TON of catching up to do. And, you know, it's nice to attach a face to names I'd always only heard of. Several names.). Okay, I was saying that I've had a smashing week, and that I'm still as blissfully ignorant of DH as I was before I left*. And it was not really that hard, not when your friend has never been that interested in HP all her life, you're almost never at home, and when you are you're not watching tv, and when you are you (as in me) start talking VERY VERY LOUDLY anytime you suspect on the news they might be talking about HP. The two people with me - who knew why I was doing that - seemed rather amused by my displays, so it was all right. :P (The two of them often seemed amused by my various displays, come to think of it. Several people there often seemed to be. There's probably something I should deduce from the fact.) I still haven't got the book - long story - so, yeah, that means I have not checked my lj notifications (okay, so I gave in, and thankfully I was not spoiled at all) and I don't really plan to until I have it and I have read it.

(For the record, I am still working on the Farewell thing. It is not done, though, and I'm wondering on which date I should post it. You will see it once I have.)

In short, I could just have written "I'm back, and planning on carrying on the whole LALALALA I'M IGNORING YOU thing I've been doing for the past few months". But well. You know how I am with words.

On the very very last note - could I ask you a favor? If you stumble on something REALLY funny DH-based, could you please link me to it? As you probably guessed already, I was remembering this - HBP would have been loads less fun if I hadn't seen it.

P.S.: HOW IN HELL. 353 miscellaneous and 63 comments! Just a little over a week! OMFG!

P.P.S.: The icon is because, seeing how much I slept these last days, I'm kind of tired. ;P

*Well, almost. Apart from a, ha, detail that I deliberately asked about, and I got the kind of one-word answer I wanted, so all is good and well.

Speaking of - [livejournal.com profile] emosuke! Your home phone number is still the same, right? ;D

I LOVE YOU.

I'd actually been looking forward to that, would you believe it? ;)

And where did your lj end up?

Well, I just friended you because it was getting ridiculous that I'd keep going to your journal to see if I'd missed any updates, and I always had, so forget that, I'm now gonna be Staying Informed! :D

Also, impressive on the staying unspoiled!

Yay for smashing weeks -- everyone needs a smashing week now and then. People seem to be pretty polite about spoilers this time through (by 'people', I mean 'everyone except the New York Times'). I'm going on tour around the state with a play that I'm working on, and a good third of the cast/crew are reading it on the bus rides (I finished in under a day). Every so often you hear a gasp or an 'I KNEW it!', but we all have to be so careful what we say, so you get a lot of conversations like 'I was really surprised when she did the thing to the, um, the little guy. You know, how he got the -- and then they --'

I've been snickering over Deathly Hallows: The Rude Bits (Alert! Spoilers aplenty!).

Awwwwwwwww! Oh, hon. :D ♥

Well, I spoiled myself a little the other day, but I practically went looking for it. I can't really complain. ;)

Hehehe! My real luck is living in a country that is, yes, interested in HP, but only up to a certain point. :D Of my close real life friends, I'm the only one actually reading the books - the others go to see the movies at most. :) (Still, an Italian friend warned me to Steer Clear Of Radio Programs. ;P)

The NYT? Really? It happened something like that to me, too, with a national newspaper - but that was for OotP's release. I learned my lesson then. ;)

Thank you! :D I'll check it out later on! ♥

How did you like it?

Well, you have to keep in mind that I'm a classics addict who looks down her nose at anything written after 1920 and is mortified to be seen with popular fiction in her possession...

I fucking loved it.

I tried to pace myself, but ended up having to cancel most of my chores for the day until I could get through it. I brought it to rehearsal, and when one of the actors asked me what I was reading, I answered, 'It's a novel about the New Orleans restaurant business', to which he responded, 'Oh, so it's about people getting drunk and having sex?' Yep, just about.

So, when I finish Dante, is 'Value of X' the right order in which to read them?
