And now...
May. 16th, 2008 11:49 amSome more Dark Tower prattle!
Oh, I know I have yet to finish answer the comments on the other entry, but I'm really only going to be online for as long as it takes to post Rachel's gift and this entry. ;P. BUT BUT BUT I couldn't wait.
Oh, Cuthbert.
I loved every single moment of the confrontation between him and Roland! ♥♥♥ Even when it looked like Bert was totally behaving like an ass! Aaaaaah I want to see him die less and less and less and less and less. (But I'm also kind of curious about how it's going to happen, to be honest.)
On other accounts - GOOD GRIEF, could I have picked a pairing that could have reminded me more of the dynamics Sirius & Remus & James? ...of course, Roland couldn' be more different from James if he tried, if anything where humor is concerned, but Bert more than makes up for that. ♥ And, well, the Remus in my head has a little more verve than Alain seems to have. But. BUT. I love the three of them so much, just the way they are. ♥♥♥
...but I will admit to have found myself giggling, at the point where Bert knocks Roland out. It was SUCH a elementary school thing to do. ;D (...I don't think it was usual just around here? You'd point to somewhere on a friend's shirt telling them they're got a stain there, and when they'd tilt their head down to look, you'd slap them (lightly) under the chin telling them "and you're silly here"?)
I'm getting closer and closer to the end! On one end, I can't wait to be done with it so that I can read the Bert/Alain fics I've been pointed out to... and on the other I don't it to end, because that'd mean they're going to die. ._. Decisions, decisions... ;P
(Ahahah! The happened before, but d'you know when Steven first talks Roland into going away? And tells him to bring some friends with him? Going on with "Alain, I suppose, for one. Just not that laughing boy for the other, I beg of you. You 'd be better off with a barking dog"? JUST HOW ADORABLE WAS THAT? It made me laugh so much. :D)
*FLAILS*
I need more DT icons, dammit.
Also? Oh HA HA HA, I KNEW pink was The Ev0l. ;D (Yep, still Dark Tower related. :P)

Pink is the new evil...
on 2008-05-16 01:40 pm (UTC)HELLO, MY FAVORITE PART~! When Cuthbert finally finally whops Roland upside the head... Hahaha, and pointing at that bit of dirt that he wanted Roland to see, hahaha, oh god. AUGH, and don't 'Bert and Alain talk about running away together or something. Oh, oh.
And you know, just the other day I was THINKING that they were like the DT Maurauders! XD <3333 ...I guess I'm not crazy! Or that at least I'm not ALONE in my crazy thoughts. *pinches you lovingly*
You know, this sort of really kind of makes me want to draw more Cuthbert for you. Kind of a lot. Or maybe even some Cuthbert/Alain? What say? :D
...Also, the DT comics where we are getting these icons from.... Do they have them in Italy?

on 2008-05-17 01:52 pm (UTC)You have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how loudly I burst out laughing at your icon. I'm almost ashamed of myself. (Almost being the operative word.)
I HEART YOU SO BAD.
And AAAAAAAAAAAH I HADN'T MADE THE CONNECTION!!! OH YES YES YES SO TRUE. <33333333

on 2008-05-18 12:49 pm (UTC)CUTHBERT LOVE!
on 2008-05-17 01:50 pm (UTC)Hahahaha! Oh, that was brilliant. Seriously. Once I realized what Bert was about... I had this image of the two of them looking like elemntary school kids. <3333 (...did you tear up at the end? I did a little. ;P)
AUGH, and don't 'Bert and Alain talk about running away together or something. Oh, oh.
Haha! They do! They totally do! Aw aw awwwwww!
WAH WAH WAH GREAT MINDS, GREAT MINDS I SAY! And instead of Peter they have Shimi. ...the DT marauders did make a better deal. ;) (And Shimi is just SO SWEET. <3 )
What say? What say? Oh, that would be TEN SHADES OF BRILLIANCE! *shiny eyes* Seriously, with the amount of fangirling I have for you, I'm amazed you'd even ask what I'd think ;D
I-- have no idea? They might? In any case, I-- have my ways, so I do... *dramatic coughing*
I HEART YOU!
Re: CUTHBERT LOVE!
on 2008-05-17 02:36 pm (UTC)Pff, and I always tear up while reading these books. Seriously, for as much as I clap my hands together in glee, I spend an equal amount of time weeping in public. Whoops. (Exciteable? Me? SURELY YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN!)
And yes. Sheemie > Peter. Aw, Peter. You fail.
Last but not least, I MAY HAVE DRAWN SOMETHING ALREADY. AND THEN I MAY HAVE INKED IT. ......AND THEN I MAY HAVE COLORED IT. It's almost done, I'll post it later. <3
Re: CUTHBERT LOVE!
on 2008-05-17 07:54 pm (UTC)*HUGS* YOU ARE SO CUTE. XD I rarely tend to cry or tear up myself... but at that scene I so could feel the prickles at the corners. ;D it was so good. I had a similar reaction at the bit when Suze & Eddie reunite with Roland & Jake & Oy. ;)

OMG are you trying to make me DIE from the SQUEAL? <33333333333333333333
ETA: YES. YOU SO ARE. AND YOU ARE MANAGING IT. <333333333
Re: CUTHBERT LOVE!
on 2008-05-18 03:21 am (UTC)He so is. ...and I'm not even too sure how much of an exaggeration that is!
Aaaaand you're probably right.
Oh gosh, but you're not a cry-er? BAWWW I AM. I weep like such a pansy at books, movies, etc. I'm a big sap like that. I sort of like it, though. Like being allowed to feel an emotion just for the experience of it, even though nothing bad has happened in your life? It's kind of nice. Like a "get-this-emotion-for-free" card. It's good to feel moved... or at least I think so. :) I love stories.
And yes, gosh, the little ka-tet reunion always get me. They are all my babies! ;^;
PS. HAPPY TO INVOKE SQUEAL AT ANY TIME!! *shamelessly squeefaces at you*
Re: CUTHBERT LOVE!
on 2008-05-18 01:27 pm (UTC)I'm a laugher and a squealer, but not a cryer! I cried here and then, but the times were few and far between ;D DT so made me tear up a little often enough, though. <33333 AND I HAVE FINISHED IT. I half want to dump the next audiobook on the mp3 player and go straight to the next novel, but... I think I'd better take a breather. ;P I was pacing myself at first, but towards the end I ended up gorging on it just like usual. ;D
Speaking of that... have you ever found yourself looking back to your friendships considering them in terms of ka-tets? ;P
P.S.: DUDE. STILL SQUEALING. CANNOT STOP. *shamelessly squeefaces right back* You are SO AWESOME.
