I... should have been working on ENTIRELY different stuff, but when Lord Inspiration* calls, sometimes it's exceedingly difficult to resist. ;)

This is due to more than just one cause: first off, to the advent of pencilslingers, a Dark Tower based fanart-only comm (started by the lovely ani_bester) that recently joined after_the_king's side (and will soon be having weekly challenges. GLEE.) - but most of all, it's the latest issue of the DT comics that brought this on. I admit not to being overly in love with it - the art is beautiful, but it's also a little cold - which doesn't change the fact that it's so good to have more canon. If it can be counted as canon. Plus, (a) I love my Bert/Alain bits SO MUCH, and (b) Bert's ponytail is way too darling to miss.

And last of all causes, you have no idea what kind of an enabler jou is.

She's actually kind of dangerous that way.

...boy, I spent half of today just trying to scan this thing O_o Well, at least now even if I don't know what precisely is making my scanner act up, I've figured out how to get around it. I guess that's something. :P

* Yes, I know that traditionally it's a Lady, but... I much prefer to imagine a tall, lean vaguely scruffy man, with short hair, a hint of stubble and high metabolism. I.e., very little clothes. (But he likes wearing dark suits and/or black shirts - sleeves rolled up for preference - every now and then.) What can I say, to each their own!

Oh wow, I love that, I love the emotion in their faces and ok sounds random but the texture of Bert's hair is gorgous.

And you make me like the cahracter design for Alain, which I'm not overly thrilled with more often than not ^^ Just personal preference I think, but your take captures more of the character somehow (may it is jsut that I agree with you, pretty art in the comics, but very cold, and I don't always feel it for lack of a better word)

Anyway who cares because FWEEEE THEY ARE SO CUTE!! I love how Bert's all enthused and insanely bright-eyed and keen and happy-go-lucky with his mouth all open as he says something snarky to Roland. And his eyes. The brightness of his EYES!!

And dear darling Alain, so round-faced and his expression si completely priceless. I don't even know how to describe it, other than the fact that I LOVE IT.
