I... should have been working on ENTIRELY different stuff, but when Lord Inspiration* calls, sometimes it's exceedingly difficult to resist. ;)

This is due to more than just one cause: first off, to the advent of [livejournal.com profile] pencilslingers, a Dark Tower based fanart-only comm (started by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ani_bester) that recently joined [livejournal.com profile] after_the_king's side (and will soon be having weekly challenges. GLEE.) - but most of all, it's the latest issue of the DT comics that brought this on. I admit not to being overly in love with it - the art is beautiful, but it's also a little cold - which doesn't change the fact that it's so good to have more canon. If it can be counted as canon. Plus, (a) I love my Bert/Alain bits SO MUCH, and (b) Bert's ponytail is way too darling to miss.

And last of all causes, you have no idea what kind of an enabler [livejournal.com profile] jou is.

She's actually kind of dangerous that way.

Title: Boys aw shut up.
Fandom: The Dark Tower
Characters; Alain Johns and Cuthbert Allgood
Rating: G
Notes: This is dedicated to one [livejournal.com profile] jou and one [livejournal.com profile] feels_like_fire, as a much overdue sign of thanks. :D If I hadn't got to the fandom via the first, and hadn't had first and second to squeal with as I worked my way thought it, my days would have been MUCH bleaker ;) I love you, girls! ♥

Have you been to your local comic store lately? *g*

As some of you may know, my darling [livejournal.com profile] jou is the accomplished whateverist/artist behind the comic Roadsong - Allan Gross writes, she draws, we enjoy. :D

The last issue has been out for a few days now! It might be worth mentioning that this volume too has a fanart gallery attached - and yours truly is in it as well. :P ...no, the sketch beside is not the one that ended up in RS3, that's just the preliminary sketch ;D I'm positive I have the file with the finished drawing somewhere in my HD, but it might take some digging to find. :P I could add a link to it here once I find it, if you want/are curious?

I haven't seen the finished result yet, but I hope I'll have my own copy in my hands soon enough (though the postal customs might want to disagree with me on that. They usually do) - and, haha, I'm squirming in embarrassment already. Getting ahead with work, so I am. And I just want to read it! <3333 It's going to be the last one, after all :(

(And speaking of comic store, I think I might nip down to mine today. It doesn't carry original titles - no Roadsong waiting for me there :P - but maybe some issues of The Gunslinger came back in store. Something else I want in my hands! ♥)

(Also, just for the record? I love my mood theme so damn much. I've been editing the moods in my last entries, and oh boy Barbara is a STAR.)

[Surprise!] - G - Confucius say dumbshit )

Happy happy happy birthday, darling. Seriously. I LOVE YOU. Now you'd better go, relax and let other people work instead, so that you can concentrate on having the best day possible, Y'HEAR ME?

For my [livejournal.com profile] jou! My cochef! The Rickey to my G-man!* My partner in crime! My - whatever me being her lieutenant of degeneracy makes her! (Not too well versed in military hierarchy, sorry about that. :P) All three pics in here are for her :D The first I'd told her about-- eons ago, the last one she's seen, and the one in the middle is actually a surprise. :D

* I am more than a little bit amused by the fact that, following that logic, then the (other) Jojo would so be the Chef Irvin to my G-man. What with him being G's mentor and all. ♥ Very amused.

So here we go!

Title: Quit it!

And last but not least, this is one of the reasons why the two of us should just not be allowed to chat with each other. Not without supervision, at least. You know the remark about wind-up toys in Prime? )
