Aug. 11th, 2003 12:47 pmWell, I am lucky, then. ^________^
I found both Point 1) and Point 2) in the same fic.. XDDD That is to say, a good Post-Ootp with Kingsley in it. *grin*
I found the link to this fic on
skylark97's journal, posted by
slurp. I never read anything of Elwing Alcyone before, but now I think I should give it a go. I found this fic interesting.
The Remus treated like chinaware (inaccurate expression, again. ^^"), and unnerved by it, isn't something entirely new.. But I liked the way he interacted with Kingsley.
"I didn't lose everyone I cared about in one day without learning how to cope with loss," he muttered to himself.
And that leaves out any room for the uke!Remus.
"For one thing, it is very hard to accept a death if there is no body," Kingsley said. "My sister still believes her husband is alive, though he went missing over a decade ago."
"I've accepted it," Remus said in clipped tones.
"Then congratulations. You're super-human," Kingsley said drily.
But a fic I liked really, really much is Go Down Laughing. This is the first time I see R/S relation from another point of view- better still, from a realistic point of view.
Peter gives a small smile and we trudge up to the castle leaving the two lovebirds - should I say canines? - to their kissing. Fuck it all. If we're to go down, we're all going to go down laughing and loving. Who knows, it might even save us.
(I'm one for the quotes, it seems..)
