Nicola Calipari.
Mar. 10th, 2005 01:41 pmNow act as if I'm not here, because I shouldn't be, but there's a question I wanted to ask you, and if I don't now I'm afraid I never will.
The subject title sort of gives it away. I think many of you will have at least heard of Giuliana Sgrena, the Italian journalist kidnapped in Iraqi and released few days ago, and of Nicola Calipari, and of what happened to them.
Leaving aside hypothesis, suppositions and the like, also because I should be running now, even if I probably wouldn't have mentioned any anyway, what I really really would like to know is which is the public opinion, what newspapers, television news, people say about it, especially in the States.
Believe me, I'm not trying to be provocative or anything, I really want to know.
Go on, hit that button there and tell me.
Please?

on 2005-03-15 09:56 pm (UTC)I think it's rather sad I haven't heard anything about it until you mentioned it and I sought out information, but the news here has been filled with the story of four police officers who were killed on a routine operation, so nothing else has been making the front page, really. But I don't expect the Americans will do anything to the soldiers who killed him... The man who accidentally dropped a bomb on some Canadian soldiers didn't even get a slap on the wrist. :/

This too, in some ways, is an answer to my question. Not the one I hoped, but it doesn't make me surprised, either.

Yeah, I don't, either... *sigh*
I love you! ♥

on 2005-03-19 02:41 pm (UTC)The situation over there is not improving, really. Good thing they found all those horrible weapons of mass destruction to destroy them and make the world safe again for the wonder of democracy! :DDD
... OH WAIT!!
(I love you too~ <333)
