Rain, concerts and Velvet Golmine

I like being outside in the early morning.. The air is fresh, surely cleaner than at noon, every care seems lighter.. the exams further.. oh, damn, the exams. Well, nevermind.
Anyway, this morning I was wandering for Perugia, wen I saw the poster of a Motel Connection's concert. Very nice, I thought. For free. Definitely nice. When was it? Last Friday. I think I stared at the date on the poster for a couple of minutes. And where was I Friday evening again? At home. Yu-huu.
Hmm.. come to think of it, this evening there should be the performance of some friends' band. I'll be able to listen to them, finally, since I missed their last "concert" due to an imminent exam.
And my luck today is really abysmal.. When I went to lunch at 13.30, I saw it was starting to rain, but seeing the past few days I didn't worry that much. The little problem is that when I went out, an hour later, it was pouring down. And obviously my umbrella was nice and warm at home.. *sighs* Anyway, the walk I had to do wasn't too long and luckily the cars that passed by had the good sense to avoid puddles (probably it wouldn't have made a great difference anyway, as I was so soaked).. and it wasn't cold, not really. Yes, I know it must sound strange, but I almost enjoyed it..! After all, it reminded me of a similar occurrence happened two years ago and of how much I laughed with some people, then. That's true, most of the laughter was born of irritation (for some things happened previously), but it was laughter nonetheless. And today I was in a good mood, don't we forget it.
Oh, and I managed to muddy my shirt, I don't know how, in the process. Shirt that, incidentally, was freshly laundered. Happiness.
Outside, anyway, was raining. And with a weather like that, I thought of seeing a film. So, I finally watched Velvet Goldmine. I'd have liked to see it in english, but, and it was predictable, the tape hire had only the vhs, so I settled for it. *shrugs* The dubbing wasn't that bad, anyway, apart from some characters.
I wasn't sure whether call someone to see it with me, but then I decided not to. A pair of them, even if openly don't have nothing against it, would be decidedly put out, someone else's flexibility of mind isn't still ready for it (I didn't know how much daring the film would have been), and others would have been just too excited. Oh, I can almost hear him.. "Look! Wei! Look there! What are they doing? *unrestrained laughter* Bidi, let's do it! *Bidi's squeaks of protest*" and so on. I know he likes joking, I've nothing wrong with it, but he would've been so loud I'm sure I'd have missed half the cues. And we don't want to hurt our friends, do we? -__-
Yes, I realize I'm talking about anything but the film.
Well, I liked it. The sligh seme-uke relation on the background (never spoken aloud, but clear enough to notice) was a little annoying, but I enjoyed the film. And don't we forget trash details like ufos, or pupils strangely similar to little hearts, or $ symbols.. ^^""" the first thought when I saw it? "Naah.. that can't be true..!"
It was just too fun recognizing, in the italian translation, the quotes I met at least a thousand times. "You're made of ivory and gold", "I will mangle your mind", "The curves of your lips has rewritten history".. I couldn't help saying them aloud every time ^^
About the actors.. I honestly prefer the Trainspotting's McGregor, even if I liked the very first interviews (the first minutes of the film, I think) and the last chat with "Arthur". Then, Christian Bale. No. No, I don't like him. Nah. He isn't that bad as an actor, but.. Nah.
I developed quite a fascination with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' lips, anyway.
And now I have to see "Labyrinth".. ^____^
