The Imprescriptible Rights of the Reader

I have just (as in a couple of days ago, but that's irrelevant) found another kindred spirit who loves Pennac... I couldn't let it go by without some sort of party, now could I? :D
So, blame it on
wild_boys. Who, as I'm told, is perfectly happy with taking said blame. :D
From Daniel Pennac's Comme un Roman.
ETA: Oh, I forgot to mention that sooner or later I will build an enourmous stiletto, nick a pullman somewhere and start a trip in Europe (well, Australia is that bit too far).
Yeah, I've seen Priscilla, The Queen of the Desert. Pure madness, I tell you. Mwah!
ETA 2 - To Whom It May Concern:
I found an online site where you can download some good old "frustrating grafic adventure games". :) To play them you'll need ScummVM. Near each one of them I specified the language. So many of them are in Italian... *sigh* does anyone know of places where to find them in English? I'd love to play them, especially the first two Monkeys. :D
Links:
[Monkey Island 1] (Italian) | [Monkey Island 2] (Italian)
[Loom] (French)
[Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade] (English) | [Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis] (Italian)
So, blame it on

The first time I saw silvery Felicia singing ON the bus I fell laughing on the rug. Well, I was seated on the rug to begin with, but that's not the point.

on 2005-03-03 11:29 am (UTC)And you watched Priscilla! Didn't you love it? YOu did, you did? Now do we have to fight over which of us get to play each character? Or are we all going to be Felicia? Like... If I ever going to do something crazy, I want to do it in a spectacularly ridiculous and over the top manner... I want to free my inner Felicia JollygoodFellow
Oh... I'll try to get asleep again, then I'll email you an idea with a deadline and all :)
And downloading that shit! Woman! If I can get it to play Indiana Jones and the LC I'm going to be one happy bitch.
*hugs* *hugs*
I love you.

on 2005-03-04 09:01 am (UTC)Or you could learn French.
And then you'll join us in the Pennac!adoration.
(Because, really, how can you not love Benjamin?)
OF COURSE I loved Priscilla! :D I had this big (vaguely surprised at first) smile on my face during all the movie.
While I won't say a word on the fact that Felicia shirtless attracted my attention, because what I don't need at the moment is to focus on truly disturbing realizations,
RalphBernie could be really taken in consideration. Come on, the elegant lady I'll never be. :D When she comes out with the "That's just what this country needs: a cock in frock on a rock." Only I heard, obviously, the Italian version they've made, which I have now forgotten. Surprising? Oh, no.But the point where they dance to I Will Survive! I was there, all "yeah! It's true! It was like this!" and then squealing, laughing and the such.
If I can get it to play Indiana Jones and the LC I'm going to be one happy bitch.
Mwah! I knew you'd be interested. :D Did you manage to play it? I'm re-playing MI1 at the moment. I had forgotten about Fester Shinetop, and I missed so much the Fettuccini Brothers! Anecdote about MiniBruni you don't need to know: the "rubber chicken with a pully in the middle" line striked me so much, that I used it once in a fake-fight I was having with someone. You can imagine the expression that got on the other's face.
