Mmh.. just start with the first comments on Ootp, ok?

I have to say I liked this book. I liked it quite a lot, actually; I think the main reason is that I wasn't expecting it. Dunno, I sort of thought that her style would have decisively dropped: it was taking too long to be published, and even the massive number of pages made me suspicious.. I usually don't associate an exponential growth of dimention to an equal improvement of style. Well, now I'm not saying that Ootp is that amazing masterpiece, yet I think it bears the comparison with the other works. And it leaves a lot of open issues. I like books like that.

I earnestly doubt I should start rambling about everything.. ok, let's start with the first things that come to my mind, I'll deal with the rest next days. Provided that I will remember to do it, and I shouldn't take that for granted.. my mind works in odd ways, sometimes. Yeah, sometimes. Whatever.

Anyway (I know, sometimes I get a bit carried away..) when I reached the end, I was expecting to get at least angry, or frustrated, or something.. I was just a bit sad. And thoughtful. Being already aware of Sirius' death, it couldn't come as a shock, yet it happened in a way.. Are we really sure he's dead? Oi. He outstepped a curtain. He's dead, everyone is sure of it (and that's weird - how can Remus be so sure? He must know that room, then. But why?), yet I can't help but think there's something amiss.. And I'm really curious to know what there's behind that curtain.

Nick's explanation, then, didn't actually persuade me. Ok, ghosts were mainly (who said exclusively?) people afraid of death, so they choose to stay behind and remain in this "resemblance of life". Ok. Why should only them be able to do so? Is "fear" the operative word? Come on, Sirius is too protective of Harry to let go of this opportunity to help him!
But don't get me wrong, I doubt I'd like an eventual "resurrection" (unless it's written very, very, very well), or to see Sirius come back as a ghost. Both are too as like as a loophole, to be appealing.
..ok, Snape the next time.. ^^"

I suppose I'll go past all those boring chapters and I'll end up readind the book by pieces. I finished 3 other books in the meanwhile... I can't go on whit THIS one. XP

Do you think he won't come back as a ghost? XDD It would be a perfect conclusion for the soap-like thingies of the first chapters... [the family tree and all the rest... XD *laugh*]

Hmm, i'm waiting for your Sevvie ramblings... XDD [and that MS things is wonderful. I suppose I'd have put Serina in that House, right? I was in stitches... XDDD]

God, I hope he won't..

Yeah, I didn't like it too. Yet the family tree can explain his amount of hatred against Snape.. he's a pure blood, isn't he? And Si wants to make clear he hasn't anything in common with them.

(Oh, by the way.. I'm writing the mails! Tomorrow I'll send you the lot! ^^")
