When I said I wouldn't be online for a few days, I didn't think it'd be for almost a week. Er.
But! I did put (at least some of) the time to good use, and you should see the results shortly. ;P
And I have a song for you! I've been re-listening to it non-stop for a few days now, and although I suspect a few of you already know it... well. There's always that person who doesn't. :D So, without further ado: The Clash - I'm Not Down.
1. Elaborate on your default icon.
OMG ISN'T IT THE CUTEST THING EVER? Yarly. The original was made by
cigamngisedi, and - thanks to
deck_the_icons -
coell picked it and made it more christmassy. And OH, the love I have for it. Just like the love I have for the other two
coell did for me.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Single. For my own choice, at least. ;P ...well, kind of.
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Well, this morning I went to bed at 05:06 am. I think the way I literally fell asleep might be considered a "near-death experience". Apart from this, though, I wouldn't really know. (I actually might have had a real near-death thing and I don't remember it at the moment. That's the kind of attention span (and/or memory) I have.)
4. Name an obvious quality you have?
I can talk people into oblivion?
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
HA! I'm not down! Oh, but I adore it.
6. Any celeb you would marry?
The first name I can think of is Paul Rodd, but actually that would be more Jojo and Ni's pimping than anything else. (For their trouble, they so would babysit any eventual children. Day AND night.) I wouldn't mind Scamarcio either, though... And, you know, Mister Jake. Plus a number of others.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
No one, if anyone in my friends' list has any kind of sense. ;)
8. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
I think Kevin Costner might be one - and as people here go, I'd say
nike_y and
trishna87.
9. Do you have a crush on someone?
Aww. Don't we all? It's... more like two half crushes going on at the same moment, truth to be told.
And it's not even that unusual for me...
10. Have you ever vandalized someone's private property?
...
I... wouldn't know about vandalizing, but... well. I was VERY little, and I think mum had taken me to the doctor, and, er, I had to, like, go to the loo. Very badly. Yup, behind the car.
11. Have you ever been in a fight?
Mmmmno? If we're talking of the physical kind. And if we're not talking of children ones. Otherwise, well, plenty.
12. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?
I did, actually, yes - I was part of the Choir of the Basilica of Assisi, for something like six years. Bloody brilliant period, that was. (No, really.) I even did a few solos, go figure... and on the 4th of October (St. Francis day, who is also Italy's patron), the Mass was usually broadcasted on the national tv. No one at home ever taped the, thank god - not too long ago I was at a friend's place and she, like, pulled out this tape. And we watched it. And I was like "O_o OMG I LOOKED LIKE THAT?"
You know.
13. What's the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Considering that you talk to them, I'd say the face. If the question was "what I like in men" (ugh. I'm oh so funny, ain't I?), I would say the angles - by which I mean hips, collarbones, shoulderblades, the back in general, that kind of things.
14. What do you usually order from Starbucks?
Considering I've never been there?
15. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
Now, I wouldn't say on purpose, but... well, if you run headfirst with your eyes closed you're meant to hit a tree.
16. Say something totally random about yourself.
I'm so NEVER going to fall sleep again with my contact lenses on. Like. NEVER.
Damn.
17. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Liz! Liz did!
...
Oh damn. A moment, I have to remember in which entry she told me that, since I can't remember which celebrity it was.
18. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
I used to. The last watch I wore was a gift from my friends for my 18th birthday. It was very, very nice, but also had a nasty habit of getting snagged on practically anything I wore, so I stopped wearing it. (And while I was there, I stopped wearing watches at all.) And I, er, think I might have lost it. My friends do not know this yet. Nor do they need to.
Now I completely rely on my cell to know what time it is - which means that the times I forget it home, I'm screwed through and through.
19. Do you have anything pierced?
Not even my ears, actually. Some friends of mine are still baffled by this fact, and keep telling me to go and have them pierced. It's not really that I dislike it, I just... can't be bothered. There's a friend who regularly says she's gonna kidnap me for a day and make me do it, though.
20. Do you have any tattoos?
Another no. I don't mind the idea in itself, it's more the "permanent" factor that turns me off. Drawing has taught me that what I really kind of like one moment may start looking awful the next, so I'm a little... wary.
One of the most flattering and embarrassing things that happened to me was a friend of mine, a classmate, who got a tattoo from a drawing I did. It was, like, in high school. I had this phase where I used to draw kind-of-faires, Elena saw one she liked, and decided to get a tattoo of it. I was, like... well. You can imagine. I did try to talk her out of it (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she's started regretting it, now - you don't know how I used to draw back then), but I guess I didn't try as hard as I should have. Because, you know, a tattoo? Out of a drawing of mine? Woah.
21. Do you like pain?
Er. No?
22. Do you like to shop?
When I've got money and enough self-esteem to afford losing a good chunk of it in the process, sure. :P And time, too, I'm the very definition of "difficult". Save for the dress&shoes for tomorrow's party, for once that didn't take me too long. I'm totally going to die on those shoes, though.
And, you know, if I ever hit the lotto, and I went shopping right after, I totally think I'd ende up spending half of it to buy a maximum of three clothes.
23. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Hm. Breakfast?
24. What was the last thing you paid for with a credit card?
The Devil You know and Tales of the City. Haven't read the second one yet. And if I end up liking it like I ended up liking the Liquorverse, I might have to resort to not speaking to Jojo ever again. *g* I really, really don't need even more obsessions.
25. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
wild_boys!
wild_boys! The LOVE! :D It's-- like-- OH, THE LOVE! ♥ ♥ ♥
26. What is on your desktop background?
...you do know I'm a closeted sap, right? So... you shouldn't be too surprised if I tell you that I have Robert Deasneu's Kiss. I love that shot to pieces.
27. What is the background on your cell phone?
Stairs. No, really. It's a flight of steps, made in stone, that's near my university. With all the green trees over it, it looked nice, so... yeah.
28. Do you like redheads?
I adore red hair. There is this girl at university that has them and I envy her so badly. That is, until she turns around - it's really kind of like she hasn't eyebrows.
29. Do you know any twins?
My aunts.
30. Do you have any weird relatives?
You think there's a normal person in my family? Woah, thanks for the credit. Totally wasted, though.
31. What was the last movie you watched?
All the King's Men. Not my favorite, but I liked it enough. And, you know, Jude Law. Oh, you don't want to know how hard I had to keep from making any noise at all, or even weird faces, when I saw the Louisiana's state map on the floor. Or when I heard the main character's name. (Will Stark.) JOJO, YOU'LL BE THE RUIN OF ME. :D
32. What was the last book you read?
Ha. Last book I read, like, from beginning to end? I probably should say The Devil You Know. Because I still haven't stopped rereading random passages from any of the Liquorverse books. And ha ha ha, I so got
eleish hooked on them too...
When I said I wouldn't be online for a few days, I didn't think it'd be for almost a week. Er.

on 2006-12-30 10:11 pm (UTC)Did you talk to K again or you meant last weekend? Isn't she lovely?
We need those videos of Bruni on TV!
Tales of the City is CUTE, other than the main character who is rather dull, but then she's like small-town-girl learning her way in the big-ass-city so that's kind of OK, I love many of the characters. And it's so nice and easy to read (that sounds retarded, right? but seriously, it's a comfortable reading).
And I don't remember what else I wanted to reply from the entry, but it's OK, I can come back later.
I love you and I'm so glad you posted again, I missed you like whoah!

on 2006-12-30 10:44 pm (UTC)And I would be more than happy to take you shopping. I've only seen your face, not your figure; but I'm sure I could conjure up something.
As for Starbucks, I was going to direct you (and Ms. Ni) to your nearest branch but behold! No Starbucks in Italy or Argentina. Bahrain and Peru, but not Italy or BA. The fuck? Darling, should you ever cross country lines, get one- just to taste. If it's in season, go for a Peppermint Mocha. Otherwise a regular Mocha Latte. If it's hot, Coffee Frappachino.

on 2007-01-01 08:23 pm (UTC)Like a burka? ;P Sorry, sorry, I'm not that bad, but I can never resist bad jokes! :D
I'm not sure I'm going to remember those names. ;P But what is it, exactly? Kind of a coffee bar chain, right...?

on 2007-01-01 08:48 pm (UTC)Some would say so; some would say it is a way of life.
Peppermint Mocha is only around Christmas time, along with the Gingerbread Latte and the Eggnog Latte. I find the other two too... sweet and cloying; but I love peppermint/chocolate flavors. Mocha Latte is just coffee, steamed milk and mocha syrup. Frappachino is an iced coffee drink, mixed with lots of cream and whipped topping and syrup- I usually don't get all that junk in it, but just a plain Frappachino on hot days is niiice.

on 2006-12-30 10:18 pm (UTC)I talked to her again just tonight! OH, THE LOVE! And she said she loves you like woah too. ;D
I think not. Also because I don't have them. But if I did I'd destroy them so there. :P
I DO have to get my eyes off Liquor and try to read something else, methinks. ;D
OH NININININI!

I love you, Bruni! I've had a rough week and I haven't had the chance to reply your emails, I'll try to be a better Ni and do that, but now I need a shower and run to the super or I'll be Coca-Cola-less.
I LOVE YOU
