Notes: Happy happy happy (and very very very) belated birthday, Mane! I had this idea while I was looking at the prompt table for fanart100. In particular prompt number 1 - beginnings.

I honestly can't see the Marauders starting out in any other way.

(First dinner of the first day of the first year at Hogwarts, obviously enough.)

Also, you may have noticed that James isn't wearing glasses. It was deliberate. :D And I totally plan to draw, sooner of later, the moment when James has to start wearing them... *shivers in delight* I'm such a wench. :D

Okay, so they don't exactly look eleven, but it's a fantastic drawing nonetheless, and it's so very funny and so very in character! (And I love how Sirius is gripping and tugging Remus' tie! Foreshadowing! *hee*)

OMG!~Monkeys! Have they been there before? I have never seen them... and they're totally crazy monkeys! How appropiate. I love it :)

And the pic? Awwwww you know what I think about it, but just in case you need to be reminded: they look like some 11 years old, you know, not every 11 y.o. boy look the same, anyway, they definitely look younger than the boys as you usually draw them. This is perfect, the boys are wonderful, their facial expressions, JAMES looks just EVIL :) and Sirius' hair and what we get to see of his face, fantastic. And he's already tugging at Remus'tie ♥

Ho letto molte fic dove Sirius e James (per fare un esempio), appena si incontrano sul treno, scambiano due parole e subito pensano 'aaah è il mio miglior amico!' Però hanno entrambi personalità molto forti - e ad entrambi piace comandare ;D - quindi qualcosa di questo genere mi sembrava più probabile. ;P

I thought that too when I saw it... then I realized that I was about 13 when I started wearing them and that it's very common for people to start needing glasses about mid-puberty... and I ended up really, REALLY amused by the idea of James getting glasses in third or fourth year. Oh, the ribbing he would have gotten from the others! Just priceless.

Awww, don't call it unthinkable. :D At the time, Peter was a part of the Marauders just like the others were. :) After all, for Sirius to entrust him with James' life, he must have had a lot of faith in him, don't you think? Otherwise he would have let Dumbly do it. :)
