Notes: For dungeons_master!!! Happy (belated) birthday, m'dearest! I was uncertain about what I could do for you, and... I decided to venture in the "flair and drama" land, madly hoping you won't mind. ^^; Also considering how NOT used I am, to that land. :P

Well... yes, by "light" here I mean the classical "lighbub moment". 'Tis the Shack night - I wanted to get the right moment when Snape understood what was going on (and, in the specific case, what he was seeing), before fear or disgust could kick in. Turned out not to be exactly easy. ^^; Don't really know how successfull I have been, either.

*sigh* I have to admit I had wanted to avoid drawing a prettySnape. Which was somehow translating to making him look about 30, so I had to take a step backward. :/ But thank you! :D

Yeah, it's hard to draw him ugly and young, because you can fall into caricature. I don't think I've ever seen many ugly young Snapes, the younger he is the prettier he gets.
I like this one though, because the eyes and the expression of his face just grab you. It makes me think of those Italian portrait artists in piazzas that make your portrait in an idealized way, while retaining your personality. It's you, but under the knife or something, and yet your 'soul' is captured in it even if your looks are a little too perfect to be realistic. It's really good.

Man, yes. And.. well, when you're drawing him young you can always say he got worse with age, after all. ;P
