Personal Canon meme!

Oki doki, maybe you don't know, but devart as got a "blog system" too. (Given how much I use it, I might as well not have known it either.) So, a while ago - when lj was totally down - I did a meme there. Figured I bring it here, too. (And c&p the answers I've already given, while I'm at it.)

Name a character from a fandom I'm in, and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

Aaaaand we have already done:

Remus Lupin - for nevereverposts


1. He's got dimples. (Hey, I am a fanartist. :P)


2. He's got a sharp tongue. While he is a fundamentally kind person, he can be smart and witty - he's a Marauder through and through, after all.


3. He doesn't like being mollycoddled, overprotected. He's a very indipendent person, and he likes it that way.


• He fancies the pants off (literally) of Sirius Black, and it's entirely mutual. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

James Potter - for spacedye_vest


1. The guy hates artichokes with a passion, and he'll manage to put together a spell that will make Farmers Around The World stop growing them once and for all.


2. He's got no qualms about handling worms and viscid, disgustings things in general for some prank, but he gets surprisingly squeamish when it comes to deal with raw, uncooked meat, like chickens et similia. Memorable is the one time Lily tried to get him to help her with stuffing a turkey.


3. Oh, he's so clueless, the poor dear.

Sirius Black - for sunnys-whiskers


1. He has no sense of time. Hours pass by and he doesn't notice. That doesn't help an awful lot with being punctual to meetings/reunions/classes and the like. (It's also true that he tends to be distracted by shiny things.)


2. He's a big clown, and he enjoys every bit of it. An advantage is that people are so used to him talking rubbish deliberately, that when he slips and says something stupid meaning it, the rest of the world just assume it's another joke of his and laugh anyway. To his credit, when it happens he usually goes along without missing a beat.


3. He never. Stops. Talking.


• Nope, not even when blissed out - i.e., shagged within an inch of his life.

Sirius Black² - for suzene


1. He doesn't make a production out of it, but skipping classes has never really given itches to his coscience, either. He prefers going back to his dorm over wandering the halls, though - less likelihood of getting caught. (He is pretty proud of that one time he had to get into the dorm by the window, since every other way was Blocked, though.)


2. He's very possessive, and he doesn't really think there's any problem with it. That also means that if he thinks someone is messing with the people he cares for - and there isn't a whole lot of them - he will take the matter in his own hands, disregarding the fact that his people are perfectly capable of handling it on their own.


3. If something is bothering him, he'll keep harping on it until he's found a solution (or an explanation, depending on the cases) that satisfies him. Rather like a dog with a bone, really.

Lily Evans - for remeciel


1. When, one morning in sixth year, in the space of ten minutes she realized that (a) James' pranks were a little funny after all and (b) that she might kind of fancy him back, she barricaded herself in the dorm and refused to speak to anyone for a day and a half.


2. She did carry quite the torch for Remus. He, alas, has always been gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide. Which she knew. She also noticed Sirius and Remus getting all touchy-touchy - and when she tried to ask James about it (they'd been going out just for a month of two) he was just so clueless that she let it be. Mostly because she found him just too adorable, though.


3. For all that she's smart and everything, she never cottoned on that Remus is a werewolf. And when James told her, the first phrase to come out of her mouth was "oh, so he doesn't really have a bunny?"

Sirius Black ³ - for tinocka


1. He doesn't love easily - you could probably count on the fingers of one hand the persons he actually loves and cares for. But those he holds dear, he holds dear forever.


2. Insofferent to rules, that's what he really is. It's not even a matter of whether they're right or wrong - he just can't stand to be costrained by them, and will do all he can to get around them.


3. ...same goes for (restrictions on) public nudity.

James Potter ² - for inthefuturepast


1. For all that he is one of the popular guys in the school, he hasn't got an awful lot of friends outside his group. People seem to find him intimidating. That, or they're just worried he'll prank them as soon as they turn their back. (Which he might.)


2. He's got an older brother he never actually knew, since he died of a magical illness when he was still very little. A few years later his parents decided to try again, and James came along. (My own personal theory on why James was conceived so late in time, even if he is (or seems to be) an only child.)


3. He swore at the age of 8 that he would never, never grow a moustache. Seriously. Aunt Germaine's always got all over his cheek when she tried to smother him in kisses.

Remus Lupin ² - for lunacy


1. Not addicted to chocolate. Likes sweets like any self-respectable person, but? He doesn't have an orgasm just by getting a wiff from Honeyduke's, when he's on his way to Hogsmeade.
• The reason he was carrying chocolate with him on the train, on Poa? Dude, you'd think Dumbledore would have told him there were going to be Dementors around...


2. He's the kind of person who mutters and grumbles and sighs and drags his feet, when contributing to a prank or something like that. He doesn't really mind, he's not much of a whiner - if something actually is bothering him, he won't talk about it unless forced to - it's more something of a game between him and the other Marauders. He enjoys it, they all know it, and let him keep up the facade.


3. Bright side is, when he decides to prank someone in the group? They won't see it coming. And oh, it makes the whole thing just so much sweeter.

Severus Snape - for dungeons_master


1. Nothing of that "tough love" nonsense - for all that he doesn't love children, he loves teaching even less. And he? Is not hiding anything vaguely teddy-bear-ish inside.


2. No, no, no. His hair is not naturally shiny. He really doesn't wash it.
• Often.


3. He has got quite the taste for lemon (SURPRISE SURPRISE), except for lemon yogurt. Too sweet for him.

Lily Evans ² - for Benevolentmartyr


1. One thing she still hasn't told James? The prank, in second year, that they hadn't done and yet granted them three nights of detentions with McGoogles - that was her doing. Oh, the sheer pleasure that gave her.


2. Amazingly enough, what made her stop repeating to herself that she could end this James thing anytime, really, she could, was the one time James was napping next to her, on the couch in the common room, and started making the cutest smuffling noises. She didn't start awwing aloud or anything, but she suspects it might have been a pretty close call.


3. The first Marauder she really connected with was not Remus, but Peter. James was much too arrogant (though other people would have said "intimidating"); Sirius was even worse; Remus, while nice, kept himself to himself a bit. Peter, on the other hand, smiled easily and talked easily, which made him a lot easier to approach.

Single questions


1. ShimiMouse: How sexy does Remus find Sirius's bike?
   Well. Taking as a given that Remus has problems not finding sexy anything Sirius straggles - be it the bike, a fence, Remus' legs, a chair - towards the bike itself he nurtures a (healthy, he's very sure, not to mention reasonable) wariness. He's seen Sirius working on it, including that one time Padfoot apparently tickled it (or so he said) and it sneezed fire, or that one time it started-- oozing a slimy, yellowish and smelly liquid, with no apparent cause. Sirius found himself without his ongoing (and raging) hungover right after, though.

...yeah, that means that if you want to have more facts about a character I've already done - save for Sirius Black, I have no idea what I could make up next - you can go on and ask. Or a character that's not on there, whatever you like.
