Argh! I'm sorry, no Mirror update tonight :( I'll try to make both tomorrow, I might pull it off.

You know how far in I am? Chapter eleven. No, really. On a side, I haven't had much time at all to read it... and on the other, I didn't skip all the other things I've got to do. (And I'm talking of stuff like washing the dishes.) Don't ask me why, I have no idea. Might it be that I'm trying to make it last? Because, you know, I'm having fun with it. The funny things (that I can remember without the book at hand) so far are:

• I love, love, LOVE every passage with Remus and Tonks so far. The marriage aside - I mean, is there anyone who hadn't seen that coming? I was prepared, it got no bigger reaction out of me than raised eyebrows and a shrug. Maybe a small sigh, I don't remember. But the fact that every single time - from moment one! - Remus looks worse for the wear? You have no idea just how badly (and undignifiedly) I snigger at that. And I keep thinking of Pretty in Pink. And I cackle some more. Poor, poor sod.



• Oki doki, I think I see a big plothole. Which might still turn out not to be a plothole at all, it's still pretty soon. Anyway: what good would be the antiSnape!jinxes in the Grimmauld Place? If, after Dumbly's death, everyone he's told GP's location to becomes Secret Keeper as well, he could tell any of his fellow Death Eaters and send them over. In fact, he wouldn't even have to tell them - didn't Dumbledore write the location on a scrap of paper to be handed to Harry, in OotP? (This is an actual question, I don't really remember. And I can't be bothered to check.)
  
  So, either it's a plothole, or it's to be taken as a hint that Snape is not on the Dark side.
  
  (For the record, I still don't think he is.)

• When JKR describes the Marauder's picture in Sirius' bedroom, I so thought of Nasubionna's Marauders pic. Am I the only one? Did she? (She as in JKR?) I've only seen it once and it was yeaaaaaars ago, though, so I might just be mistaken.

Oi, by the by, has anyone heard from nassima?

I know that JKR knows Nasubionna's art, b/c she's said it really hits the mark (please don't ask me for a link to the interview where she said that b/c I'm just not organized like that. But I have an elephant memory)!

Yes, Remus is totally miserable. And I don't really ever take him at his word in canon, so even when he explains why he's unhappy, I think it's a steaming pile of BS. *is resolute*

No, I haven't heard from Nassima and was just thinking of emailing her today. Weird.

Canon!Remus is often so full of shit, I agree on that too. But apart from what he said, I didn't really like the way he handled the whole why-I-couldn't-care-less-about-Tonks debate at all, you know?
