Aug. 28th, 2003 09:12 amOh, well. Now I'm sure I should really rummage in my old notes more often.
I was looking for a notebook (and obviously I found anything but it - but I had a good laugh, instead..), when an essay turned up. Well, it surely was an homework, otherwise I wouldn't have written my name and the signature "fourth gymnasium" on it, would I? Anyway, the request was probably to write a bildungsroman (the literature professor I had five years ago - gah! Five years already?? ^^" - used this word so many times, that I doubt I'll ever forget it.. ^^") short story, probably inspired by one of the "formation novels" (I hope this is the right english word..) we read during classes. Oh God, and mine was so stuck to the topic.. ^^" Actually, I don't remember even that I wrote it. It's the story of a brother and a sister, forced apart by their poor family, who recognize each other after years and years of separation (how they could do it is beyond me). Please don't ask any other detail, if you don't want to feel sick.
What's really stunning is that I managed not to put a single wicked character in it! Everyone had his good reasons, everyone couldn't act otherwise, no one gets angry, there's even an happy ending.. or at the age of 14 I was still utterly, completely naive, and it IS possible, or I gad no will to do this assignment and I came up with the first plausible thing that crossed my mind. Honestly, I don't remember. Yet I hope for the latter. ^^"
An better still, I found the script of an old school play, I recognized it immediately.. I was 12 or 13, then. It seems that I performed also the "lively old man", even if I don't recall it. In the script his lines are underlined..
..but come to think of it, I didn't. That was the part of my best friend at that time. What I still don't remember is why I have his script.
Hm, I'm sure I took some photographs, if only I knew were I put them..
