Goodbye, darlings!

If your spirit is lifting, thinking you will be ridden of me... I'm sorry to crush your hopes, but I will be here again around the 12nd of January. The 7th at best (worst). I think. So, don't have too much fun without me, and most of all I'm relying on you to tell me the good things I'm going to miss. Understood?
So.. Merry Christmas, to those of you who celebrate it, and Happy New Year to everyone.
Wow. I managed not to get sappy. I'm proud of myself. Even if I'm really going to miss you... Some of you will be missed more - this may be not too polite to say, but it's still true - and I trust you know who you are. You should, at any rate.

Just FYI, I'm listening to this song uniquely for the "a tenderness" part. And the persons who will catch my meaning here are - one. Unless others made my same mistake, in which case I just have to know who you are.
