...and second of all, the guy you see up here is one of the main characters from Rachel's original story The Ordinary Vampire! (Part two!) ♥ And, er. Those are scrubs. And a cowboy hat. Figured I might need to point that out. *cough*

BUT SETTING THAT ASIDE - happy birthday sweets! :D :D :D Have I surprised you at least a little? ;) If I have to be entirely honest, I've been curious about your fiction for years. (Where "years" is not an exaggeration in the slightest. I've counted at least two of them.) But I only set out to do that recently - and only by falling back on the old, trusted method also known as "copy & paste (in a tiny tiny font) & print". I'd entirely fallen out of it (Amazon Forests United gives thanks for that), but I used to do that a real lot... maybe that's why that - coupled with the fact that I could recognize your style so well in what I was reading - gave me such an unexpected and powerful sense of nostalgia. ♥ It was almost like being back in my early fandom days! ;P

Anywaaaaaay - so far I've only read your finished stories, and I have to say that Donnelley+Kalal and Alairn+Tioth have almost been casualties. ;D Then I got to The Ordinary Vampire, and the image of Ben walking in with the hat on his head formed so clearly in my head that I couldn't let go of it. ;P Right now I'm making my way through your Serial Five. Aw, of course I couldn't comment or say anything! It wouldn't have done to give you ideas, now would it have? ;P
