I just went through a massive rereading-old-fics-I-remember-I-liked this weekend. When I should have been studying. Uh. And drawing. Double uh.
But I enjoyed myself, so that's all right. (And you all bow to my logic, I say.) Ok, it was also because I did get something done. Hm. Well, yes.
Oooh, nifty... I just noticed the little "autodetectmusic" thing. (Never mind that it was me to set that on to begin with.) (I mean, I didn't create it, I just switched it on.) (Oh, sod it.) And if you're wondering-- that's nothing dirty. No, really. Ok, ok, I guess I'll have to adjust it.
But the point is-- when you're reading a fic written before Ootp, how does it feel for you? I don't know if it was because I had already read the story before, but my brain switches from Ootp to not-Ootp without as much as a second thought. Even if my brain not having thoughts is not really news. Oh, would you please just kill me, and if possible BEFORE I start making such funny remarks all in a row? THANK YOU.
For instance, I was reading one of the fics archived at The Howl Kingdom- The Conversation, in fact. And I was laughing so much at Remus and Sirius' exchanges - when I realized "oh, but Sirius is dead". (If you know which fic I'm talking about, you'll also know what I mean.) What's funny is that, then, I went on laughing as if I hadn't thought it. I guess I am a bit cold-hearted, after all.
Anyway, I also just reread Who Wrote the Book, and am feeling all whatwastheword now. Eeee. Of course, the "just reread" is relative. The "just reread" will become at least a "two days ago" when you will read this.
Oh, no. Don't tell me I wrote a whole entry just to say "I've been reading fics and I laughed at this". How's that for logorrhea?
And why haven't you put me down already, when I asked you so kindly to do it? Tsk. Trust people and see what happens.
I- I- I- I- I- want to walk in the snow.. (well, winamp doesn't just play one song, usually, you know.)
Anyway, if you're interested - and even if you aren't you'll keep on reading anyway, because I haven't said what I'm talking about yet, and I know you're curious - oh my GOD. I swear I'm not high on anything. All nature. Which is more frightening. Anyway (2), as I was saying, I'm still working on the Peter-fic, which is not quite only Peter anymore. Well, I had already planned to include a something I wrote some months ago and which needs a thorough revisiting. Another worrying thing is that I'm in the "collecting material" phase now, and that I'ìm studying harder for this than for the classes I like. I guess I needed a break from maths, after all.
Just reread So You Want To Transfigure Yourself a Rock Band, too, for good measure. Must search for more Dazzler fics. I hope there are more than the three I have.
And if you felt ill while reading this, I'm not to be held responsible for anything. You're of age, etc etc etc.

on 2004-10-27 01:51 pm (UTC)Exactly the same here. It seems I don't have OotP very absorbed in my fic-reading mind. Not to mention in my mind Sirius isn't dead at all. :)
Let me congratulate you on your playlist *grins* Two of the bests song ever written, yeah!
*hugs and kisses*
Love and Manics,

on 2004-10-28 11:03 am (UTC)Word! On both accounts. :D Hm. I have no idea what impression the pre-Ootp r/s fics can leave on post-Ootp readers. I'm glad I started earlier... even if it's never too late. =P
Let me congratulate you on your playlist *grins*
And, of course, you're totally unbiased. *laughs*
