Finally - or not - Lucca Comics photos.

At last, I'm completing the chronicles of those two days. Brace yourself, they're many! And they've all been taken by Agnese - I had my camera with me most of the times, but I didn't take one shot. ^^; The albums should be visible in read only mode, and the pw is "Luccacomics"... if it didn't work out, let me know and I'll try to fix it! Truth to be told, I meant to create a brand new account just for the photos, but now PB allows it only in certain time bands, and I'm never online on them. Oh well, never mind.

Photos taken the 29th

In the evening, we've been to a chinese restaurant to celebrate lady_lillina's birthday. =) I made two mistakes that night: sitting in front of paddo and telling her "no, don't take pictures of me!" I should have known better. I'm commenting just a handful of them.. in the albums there are way more.

[PICT0413] This needs explaining. We were still at dinner; I lowered my head, I don't remember why, maybe to wipe my mouth. Who knows. While I was at it, anyway, I raised my gaze and I saw Agnese taking yet another picture. Right after she burst out laughing, "This was great!" and I heard the laughter mirrored behind. So, I stood there, with a half smile on my face (let's face it, no one can keep a straight face when someone else is laughing, and I'm worse than most), turning around, asking "what?"

This, afterward, has been renominated as "The Photo".

Photos taken the 30th

The day after, at the festival... many of the photos, here, are of cosplayers. I don't know how well known cosplay actually is, so I'll just settle with explaining that cosplay is the term used for dressing up like characters of mangas, comics in general, videogames and the like. Usually the costume is hand made.

[PICT0478] This man actually said: "Oh, no, I don't like cosplay. Not at all. I dress like this because I look good in it."

Yeah, I know.


[PICT0479] Oh, look at this! The central box. Boy and girl. I read this manga (yes, I admit my faults), I saw this picture, and I looked at it. They. Aren't. Watching. Each. Other. We are persuaded he's looking at the scurf in her hair, while she's noticing a spot on his cheek.

The inside of a pavilion was decorated with panels like this ones, which illustrated the general structure of a "shojo manga" (shortly, japanese comics for girls.)

[PICT0491] Oh, here... we were having lunch, when we saw a guy dressed up in a very Hogwarts fashion. Agnese's cousin Emanuele said "Oh, look! That's Harry."

I looked at the guy. "Come on, he's too old! He must be playing James."

So, Emanuele shouted: "Harry! Hey, HARRY!"

The guy turned around. (The times I've been right in all my life really are an handful.)


[PICT0495] Angel Sanctuary cosplay. I'm commenting it just because, although it hasn't been very nice, we laughed well enough. Ah- have you ever wondered where my nick "Belial" comes from? Do you see the third girl from the left, with the hat and the funny hair? She's supposed to be her.
