Also, let's see if I'll get around to post the damned entry. You don't know how long it sat on the HD. You don't need to, either, so we'd just better get on with things.
The Meeting - Part 1, aka In Florence.
Well, the city was as wonderful as always, and the weather was good. :D The First Contact went as they often go - staring openly at each other for a few seconds, then index pointing (still at each other), then a "you are..?", then Big Smiles and Big Hugs. (Well, as they often go. I distinctly remember that when I first met Agnese, after the ritual staring, we both started laughing. It was So Good - and So Typical of us, too. But I digress.) Well, then there was a little shrilly voice shrieking inside of me ohmygodwe'retalkingandwe'reUNDERSTANDINGEACHOTHER!!1!, but we can skip on that, too. :P
Teddy Bear definitely became one of the leit-motivs of the day. There is this fanfiction I haven't even read, but which I've been told about, set when Remus is still little. It's probably one of his very first birthdays after the Bite, and even if it's a full moon, his Mum wants to give him a Teddy Bear as a gift. Both Mum and Dad go to Remus' cage, put the Teddy Bear inside the cage, with a "Remus...? It's your birthday, d'you remember...?" Wolf!Remus starts to circle the plushie, maybe he sniffs it... (and here I went 'no, oh no, he's not going to do what I think he is...') and then he starts humping it.
I almost died.
(For the record, both his parents were still present, and also very frozen on the spot. I believe shortly after that his Mum said she was going to buy some milk, and never came back. I laughed at this too, because I'm a Very Very Bad Person. (would have been better if she had said she was going to buy cigarettes, though.) )
Also, Anna and I both agree that the world needs a picture of a Teddy Bear with a sign that says "hump me".
(And, er. Don't worry. Your teddy bear is safe. Because yesterday that same someone reminded me that it wasn't a teddy bear, but a stuffed dog.)
(It turned out to be a Snupin, by the by. No, don't ask me.)
Anyway, talking and giggling (we really did a lot of that), we reached Palazzo Pitti. Right in front of the palace, there was this sign that advertized an exposition called "Mythologica et Erotica". Honestly, had they known we were going to be there it couldn't have been better.
A few examples. As soon as we enter the museum, there is this large dish on which there are painted two kids, playing with each other. To be precise, playing with each other's willy. Priceless.
Also, you know Ildi's art? (And Ni's icon of it?) Abstract Sex.
Then, there was this statue. (I'm not really sure whether it was part of the exposition, or if it was there before. It probably was there before.) The first time we see it, we have a view of its right side. Officially, it portrays a warrior who's dragging in his arms another man, who is either dead or out cold. You know how, to keep different blocks of a same statue from falling apart, there are marble sticks that keep them together? There. One of them started from the upper part of the warrior's thigh, and ended in the fainted man's bum. For me? Love at first sight.
(I doubt it would fit in my living room, though.)
But the real treat, the painting Anna and I stared at for I don't know how long, and of which Anna has taken down Title and Author - which is very good, I forgot both three minutes later - was a painting of a woman and Pan (at least, I think. What I remember looks a lot like him.), making eyes at each other. Not really interesting, you'll say. I would agree with you... if it wasn't for a particular, in the bottom left corner. A little kid, hardly older than 10, is grabbing with all his might the woman's thigh, with a definitely horny look on his face and his tongue sticking out from a corner of his mouth.
I think I really need to see that again.
First thing we did as soon as we were out? We called Liz and Jojo. :D
We spent talking, chatting, blabbering, and laughing, giggling, cackling practically the most part of the day. ...save for a little parenthesis at about 16:00. When we realized that we hadn't had lunch yet. For a while after that phrases went rarely beyond a "Food!" here and there. :D The fact that finding the way out from the garden proved to be a little hard - and that we stumbled (no, not literally, although one of the two parties involved was me) on a very mint-like statue (honestly. It was just an enormous-sized mint. I couldn't find any other explanation for what it could be.) - er, was I saying? Oh, those didn't make things much easier.
Oh, hehe, and the man at the pizzeria where we went actually asked us if we were high on something. Oh, I love when people do that. (and when anna and I started squabbling good naturedly - hey! she had kidnapped my wallet! :P - he said he could lend us the shop's basement. We wondered for a moment whether to do some sort of Fight Club (I am Bruni's wallet - I'm inspired, what can I say?), but in the end we declined the gentle offer. :P)
Then more chattering and babbling (mine) and laughing (both) and moooo (no, wait, that was two days after...), and the time for me to go back came way too soon. In fact, I think that instinctively I probably wanted to remain there. I did have a good five-minutes-FULLpanic moment during the walk to the station, fearing not to find my train in there anymore, though. :P (I did find it in time, for the record. It left thirty seconds after I got on, but I still did it. :D)
I have to post this thing now, even if it's still lacking about a half, or I'll never ever post it at all... Anna? Anything I forgot?

on 2005-11-03 04:42 pm (UTC)Any way you could link to that story? I really would like to read it! ;)

on 2005-11-03 08:47 pm (UTC)But you must be warned, it's not a light story XD It includes a lot of fetishes, described too accurately for my tastes sometimes, and Remus is a biiiiiig sex fiend, so keep in mind that you have to have a good stomach to read it through the end (it's very very long).
And, you must really like Snupin too (I do and that's why I read it, and even so I had some difficulty in certan points ^^;).
Good luck ^^
