Random jazzy song:

(Completely instrumental. Oh, and the title means "We were a maniple of heroes".)

I'm obseeessing over it.

And a meme:

Leave a comment anonymously: tell me a joke, tell me about your day, tell me you love me, tell me you hate me, tell me who you really love, and who you really hate. Anything goes. Because wasting time is what Sundays Wednesdays (and every other day of the week, honestly) were made for.

*goes to turn off IP*
All right. Now there are TWO things I should have gotten ready by now.

And what do I do?

I am the Queen of Procrastination for a reason.

Humor me.

Ask me to take a picture of any aspect of my life that your interested in or curious about. It can be anything at all. Want to see my messy house, scruffy dog (no dog, but I can draw you one. (oh HA HA HA.) Have a cat instead. S/he moved in my house of his/her own accord.), sock drawer, shoes, kitchen sink , etc.? Leave a comment and I'll post back with the pic. That way you get to know a little bit more about me.

I might decide to answer with sticky men, though. I have a weird sense of humor.

Oh, AND [livejournal.com profile] dogdaysofsummer HAS STARTED AGAIN. GO AND WRITE!
Since we say the sin but not the sinner: honestly, why some people write men-slash, if they turn the men into women? It wouldn't freak me out half as bad if it was two girls from the start.

Well, it also wouldn't freak me out because probably I wouldn't click the link, as femme-slash doesn't hold all that attractiveness on me, but we don't have to go there.

____

Also, this lj userinfo business. Sorry, but the school I (supposedly) go to is more important than my contact info how, exactly?

I actually like the graphic design, it might not be all that bad. I do pretend to be the one to decide where the various info go, though, as things stand now I'd turn it off without the slightest remorse.

You know, I wish the "old drawings" category wasn't such a sore thumb for me. I cringe and grimace beyond recognition every time I see a notification to comments someone has left on very old stuff.

Wheee, I did this I don't even remember how long ago. )
I am a sheep through and through. (And you don't want to know how much it took me to type that.)

The I Never! Meme.

(The I've Never Meme: instructions.)

___

*looks around* Am I the only one who couldn't care less about the World Cup?

___

Also, it's appallingly frustrating to read stories you're dying to draw fanart for, and knowing it's all too likely that you won't because, like, you don't have the time. Damn.

___

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I SWEAR I'm sorry. )
Because I WIN at procrastinating.

Go on, make me happy. :D
I will start trying to be a better lj-friend and reply to all the things I'm behind with, but first? THE LJ AWARDS.

I'm browsing through the categories (and honestly. Biggest Drama Queen. Most Annoying. Perviest. Most Likely to Run into a Stationary Bus. THESE are categories. :D)
OUCHouchouch my butt. Something tells me there aren't many persons in the world who would stand up, move away the chair, do what they had to do and then sit down once again. Forgetting the "move away the chair" bit. I'm frankly amazed no one of the neighbours came over to ask us what was that big big bang they'd heard. Sitting down is proving to be a complicated matter today.

Explain your LiveJournal name and its meaning. When you're done, tag as many people as there are letters in your name.

This is pretty easy. Kasche is this nutcase here.

Sooo, for the tag... [livejournal.com profile] busaikko, [livejournal.com profile] iridania, [livejournal.com profile] kabeyk, [livejournal.com profile] mysid, [livejournal.com profile] ourmutualfiend, [livejournal.com profile] schemingreader. If you want, of course. :D

Also, the fact that I'm browsing through the bittorrent page fills me with much more glee than what it should. Any interesting torrents I should know about? :P (not that I plan to use it that often, though. Probably never, considering how long it takes to download something. But still.)

---

Barbara has dared me to draw a comic. I may be panicking JUST A LITTLE. Have also NO idea what to do.
Uiiii! I have a bunch of things I want to do today. I have something of an hour now (which is nothing for me, slow as I am) (as bad as I am, I'm worse than I seem) (why oh WHY the coffee kicks in only once I've finished classes??) (well, finished for now.) (off my rocker? Who, me? Naaaah...), and this afternoon - though I should probably spend it studying. Let's see if I'll give myself a free afternoon or not. Mmmh. Anyway, a few of you should receive mails today. Hmmm. If I'm productive. Oh HAHAHA.

Anyway, since I obviously haven't enough things to do:

How many times has someone on your friends list posted about something and you were really confused, but you didn't want to ask because you knew you SHOULD know? How many times have you felt guilty asking a close LJ friend a question that should be obvious?

Well, here's your chance.

If you've missed a few things, missed an entry and are confused, ask me any thing. Even something EXTREMELY basic, like where I live! I'm not allowed to get even slightly irritated at any of the questions - we've all missed things before.

Another appealing meme is the "tell me an HP character and an expression and I'll sketch it" one. Except that I would draw only sticky men, but.

Oh, QUESTION! Does anyone know of reliable and (hopefully) freeware software to recover lost data on USB disks and the like? I've only tried BadCopy, but it's a shareware. Which means that it scans the disk, recovers all the data, shows you pretty previews, but doesn't let you save them.

Er.

Help?
Trust me and go to read Something Else. Something Better, by [livejournal.com profile] jadis31, Pg-13 and Cedric/Harry. Go. NOW.

Aaaaall right. I've found the old post with the meme I wanted to do. (Shut up.) Now:

1. Comment to this entry with a post you think would be totally out of character for me--something I'd never talk about, never discuss, never say, anything. It has to be completely out of character.

2. Post this in your own journal.

...nothing too incriminating, please? ;P
So, as you'd probably put together on your own, the Bruni did have a flu. In fact, when she went home Monday afternoon and checked her temperature, it might even have been 38,5 °C.

Hmm. I had thought the not-standing-properly and the teeth-chattering weren't very good signs. At least I've never fainted yet before reaching 40 °C. :P

So, since being confined to a bed is boooooring, drawing in this position is too hard to get anything done, and honestly, no matter how much I love reading, I can only do it for so long, you get a survey I stole by the cutest [livejournal.com profile] monophobia ever.

100 questions for an artist! )

And GOD but if I read about ONE MORE chocolate-addicted Remus I'm going to kill something. Kill it dead.

On Mtv the first Spice Girls' video is passing right now. And oh my god, I still have that cd. 'Forget my past' indeed... oh my GOD.

Now there's SA's Hedonism, though. Color me considerably relieved. :D
Baaaaaaaaa.

:P

Hello!

Nov. 27th, 2005 06:44 pm
You don't get art today, although I'd actually planned on it.

But I stumbled on the Brutal Honesty meme, and well...

Also, off to see Gof tonight. I'm going to laugh so so hard.
Take a look at my icons. Comment with the following:
1. One that makes you automatically think of me.
2. One that you think I should TOTALLY use more often.
3. One that you don't get/needs more explanation/you have no idea why the hell I have it.
Comment using an icon of yours that you LOVE, and tell me why you picked THAT one too.

Oh, and on other accounts: Anna? I've done it. :D And how could I not?

ETA: *cough* To my credit, I am having doubts about posting this.

You see, there is entry Liz posted, that was all about misheard lyrics. That happens a lot of times, where James Dean Bradfield is concerned. But the point is, said lyrics made me laugh until there was no more air left in my lungs. Then Paint started making eyes at me, and, well.

No bus, no bus, holiness of god himself
("No birds, no birds, holy mass of dead insects")

Did you ever fuck him, boy?
("Did you ever forgive her?")

(In this case, my mind connected this James to another James. You should be able to recognize who the other one is. :P)

And:

Hello, we eat sausages.
("Hello, it's us again")

(our favorite puppies, of course.)

And this is proof that the Manics are good for the soul, but definitely bad for the mind. Or for sanity, rather.
[Poll #587224]

ETA: Oh, I had such a big nostalgia moment, last week... :D I stumbled on an old cd I'd done, with all sort of things I listened to, like, four years ago. :D The few X-Japan songs I knew then, some anime's soundtracks, things like Clamp in Wonderland, Wish or X-Squared... God, how I adored those things. :D

X - squared (works only with Real Player!) is a video with characters from Clamp's X/1999. You have no idea how much I adored the song in the background.

Also, GIP. Ni made it! :D

Voice Meme!

Oct. 4th, 2005 10:52 am
[livejournal.com profile] gothikmaus started this madness, and now I'm blaming her for it. You all should, too. ;P

I want to hear you talk!

You see, what I want you to do is:

1) Think of a quote you've particularly liked, and find it

2) Pick up the book/file in question

3) Read it aloud, recording your voice in the meanwhile

4) And then, of course, post it all on lj.

"Whooo-eee," said Crowley. "Where have you been?"
Good Omens, page 335.

(if you haven't read the book but intend to, don't listen to it. It could very likely spoil the fun.)

The complete quote behind lj-cut, because it could spoil the fun for those who haven't read the book. I did the whole page, because.. well, the single line on its own wouldn't have made much sense. But that was one of things that had me almost laughing the most. Oh, yes.

Also, I've still got the cold, so don't expect it to be who knows what. (not that the without-cold-me is that better... but if I have a plausible excuse, I use it. ;P) I could have waited, but I didn't really want to. :D The idea sounded like too much fun. (And it was!)

'Excuse me,' said the angel. The trio looked at him. 'This Great Plan,' he said, 'this would be...' )
If there is at least one person in your life whom you consider a close friend, and whom you would not have met without the internet, post this sentence in your journal.

What are these called again? Understatements, I believe? ;P

On other accounts, classes started again today. I have my first two this afternoon - 14:00 - 18:00 no stop. Joy. :P

And I once again have no time to do anything. Damn damn damn. But said in a very phlegmatic way. (Hey, it's Monday. It's also almost noon, I know, but it's still Monday. One doesn't get too worked up on Monday mornings.)

Love you all.

ETA: I am abnormally unreactive and not-functional even for a Monday morning, though. Upon slow meditation, I may impute that on the cold I've woken up with yesterday. My head does feel all sort of cotton wool-ish. Not a completely bad feeling, though.
When you see this, write/draw [livejournal.com profile] kasche some good smut.

Pretty please? I'm even using this icon, for the FIRST AND LAST time in a public post. :P

Oh god, it's true that I'd do anything for smut.

If you happen to be working on some new writing project, fanfiction or what have you, post an extract from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal.

Hehehe. Well, why not. :D This is a crappy photo of one of the 21 unrealized art bunnies I have jumping in my head. (The number is almost precise. There could be a two-three bunnies more, but I haven't got the list with me right now.) You see, thanks to Ni I've been listening to a number of Dancing songs lately. I liked the idea of doing a Dancing Pic, but I had no idea of how I could do it. Then, at lunch time yesterday, while I was listening to a song [livejournal.com profile] julianelupin uploaded, a random bunny entered the uni library and bit me in the hand ). ;P

ETA:
You Are A: Duck!

duckFound in many lakes and ponds, ducks are a common site the world over. Known for their famous quack, ducks tend to congregate in flocks or go off on their own in pairs. As a duck, you may seem friendly at times but will not hesitate to bite if someone is bothering you. Your ability to swim and preference for being in crowds are some reasons why you are a duck.

You were almost a: Monkey or a Puppy
You are least like a: Groundhog or a TurtleCute Animals Quiz

ALMOST a monkey! That's just so plain wrong.

Music!

Sep. 23rd, 2005 12:29 pm
[livejournal.com profile] gothikmaus told me to do it, and I'm a little obedient girl, so I do.

The icon has obviously nothing to do with the entry.

I also know that the meme said seven songs. But I'm rebellious, and I made it seven artists. Also because right now I'm listening to HIM's "Love Metal" album, it would have been it. Not that interesting, you understand.

Pick seven songs you're into right now, list them, then pick seven friends to repeat the process.

  1. Dresden Dolls: Ni uploaded their Missed Me a while ago, I went all clicky clicky as usual, and I've had much fun trying to get all the lyrics. :D I suggest you try it too.

  2. H.I.M.: I've started listening to them only recently (as in three-four days ago), I knew only The Funeral of Hearts before. Not bad, not at all. For the moment I'm stuck on Buried Alive By Love and Soul On Fire.

  3. Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong: [livejournal.com profile] celestialsoda uploaded Summertime along with posting a wonderful picture, I told myself 'why not', and now I like it.

  4. Sinead O'Connor: Out of the, I think, three songs of hers I've listened to, Dancing Lessons is definitely the one I like best. So sweet. :D

  5. Gackt: J-Rock, and this is all [livejournal.com profile] sori_chan's fault. She gave me Crescent and Mars. I've started listening to the first, and you know what, it isn't bad. The few Japanese singers I've listened to, in the rock department, have a certain tendency to modulate their voice a little too much... but it's good. Dybbuk is a strange song, for one. It starts really well, and then - I don't know, the singed/talked part doesn't persuade me that terribly much. Kimi ga matteiru kara and Lust for blood have speed, while Hoshi no suna is slower. I haven't decided yet if I like or not Gackt's voice there.

  6. Foo Fighters: aaaah, Foo Fighters. I love them so. When I love me some drums, Low is the one I turn to, although I had my first crush on them thanks to All My Life.

  7. Liliana Herrero, Palabras para Julia. Such a wonderful, deep, warm voice. Thank you, Ni.

  8. Bonus tracks )
Yeah. Me, too. Joy.

The Infamous Twenty-Things-About-Me meme. )

If you're seeing this and haven't done, chances are I'd like to read it. So, you're tagged, if you want. :P
Casting Call

I think it's inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life. (If you want to, of course)

Two Rules:
1. The person must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennent) or just the person themself.
2. You have to post a link to a picture of said person in the comments.

These castings can be based on things in the person's personality or on physical traits you know they have.

The first who posts a picture of a monkey will be sent a zombie, alive (well, sort of) and kicking. Bwahahahaha.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the second who does won't be sent one too. And the third. And the fourth. And the...
