So I was walking, half an hour ago, and I met this old, BIG crush of mine. Hello-hello, how-are-you, how's-it-going, gotta-get-going-now, and when we part I go to check my mp3 player - and the shuffle option had jumped to Madness' Must Be Love. No, honestly. It's not even fair. :P

On other accounts - Jojo? I might still end up on your doorstep after all.

Emigrazione di massa. Quanto prima. *va a preparare la valigia*

I direi un (finto) suicidio mirato.

...magari non era il caso di dirlo in una entry pubblica... *g*

First of all: awwww *HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS*

Second: WTF? Yesterday I was at work, and I heard my boss screaming (because she hasn't learned how to use the intercom after all these years) "Did you hear Prodi quit?!"

and I ignored her, because I was busy but then... WTF? It was obvious the man wasn't much of a real liberal anyway, but still. You're repeating Argentina's history? It's insane, in a very bad way :(

I imagine the pressure on Prodi to keep supporting US thing in Iraq must be really hard to ignore :(

It sucks. I'm really sorry. I hope you (as in Italy) can recover from this, so much hope, so much work going down the drain after only 9 months. Too sad.

I don't think I've ever told you about him - you know what, I'm not even sure if we were friends already... maybe we were starting to talk in that period? Mah.

(because she hasn't learned how to use the intercom after all these years)
*giggles*

The government isn't down yet - they'll have to wote for the "trust" pretty soon, and - brutally put - if enough members of the Chamber of Deputies vote yes to the current government, it's okay and we can go on. Otherwise, it's elections again.

...it's not really surprising, truth to be told. It's not really Iraqi in particular, that was just the last straw. The problem is that having won the elections by such a narrow margin - and with the electoral law Mr B. managed to make pass right before - the majority is not wide enough.

That, and there are imbeciles who just can't agree on anything, and it's been like this ever since the beginning - the left wing is REALLY not homogeneous enough. :(

It's a thousand things at once. Iraq, Afghanistan, the laws in favor of the "de facto" couples (those who cohabitate without marrying by choice or necessity - yep, gay people too), deregulations... oh, it's all such a mess.

I will cross my fingers and hope for the best :( And if this government can go on, I hope they make sure to leave with a new, not-crazy electoral law.

I remember many years ago, maybe in the 80s when there was this huge political scandal in Italy, but I think it was because of the Maffia, yes?

The last paragraph is the most shocking actually, because to that, I can only say: WTF? Hello Italy, take a look at Spain!

I'll shut up now, will cross fingers :)

I MISS YOU. I LOVE YOU.

OMG! I come online and PATUM your email notification pops up! :D OURLOVEISSOSYNCHRONOUS.

(Also, I have Unplanned Art. :D)

As for the actually serious subjects, on Wed we'll know! And omg I really don't think I'd be able to stand TEN YEARS of Berlusconi!

Speaking of, will you still love me even if I end up killing the man? Image I'm not normally pro-murder, but I'm not that patient a person either. :P

You mean Mani Pulite (Clean Hands)? Oh, I barely remember it, but at the time all hell broke loose - three quarters of the politicians took bribes of some kind, and some magistrate made them notice that maybe it wasn't exactly all right. :P

(Incidentally, one of the major Public Prosecutors (haha, shortening that it sounds like peepee - OH, I'M SO 6 YEARS OLD.) of the trials has become a politician now. Me thinks he would have done better if he'd stayed a PP. :P)

As for same-sex unions - or living-in-sin couples in general, really - we DO cohabitate with the Vatican. *facepalm* The wanks. OH, the wanks on that subject. The law project is still just that, and it could have been good enough to pass, but with all this mess... :(

I MISS YOU TOO, AND I LOVE YOU MORE. :D :D :D

WEEEEEEEEEEEE!

10 Years of Berlusconi? Oh no! It's worse than I thought it would.

Of course, I would still love you! But I wouldn't like it for you to go to jail :(

Maybe it was Mani Pulite, yep. I remember it was huge and it was constantly on the cover of our newspapers for weeks or months even.

Politics are tempting, money and power are shiny :)

But I thought it was OK, there's divorce already and... I'm just realising how ignorant I am about Italy. I really thought things were a lot better there than they are, even with Berlusconi.

NEW ART? what about the lovely Snape?

Grah! I got the notification only now!!

(Four tabs now! *g*)

Image (http://photobucket.com)Image (http://photobucket.com)Image (http://photobucket.com)!

Well, if he wins again AND lasts another five years... yep. I'm crying inside just at the thought. Wailing, actually.

But I thought it was OK, there's divorce already and... I'm just realising how ignorant I am about Italy. I really thought things were a lot better there than they are, even with Berlusconi.
Five years of him didn't do us any good at all. :( I mean, at the end of last year we had a growt of 0%. (Spain was of about 3%, if I'm not wrong. Well...) Now, I don't think we're on the verge of breaking down, but we're not exactly good either. :( Still, I'm optimist to the core! Wednesday will go well!

(And if it doesn't, I WILL find that box big enough to ship myself across the ocean! :D)

(And once I do... well. Do offer some sweets to the post(wo)man, s/he'll need them. ;) )

That would be a real tragedy. It just can't be.

It's not just about the money, it's like walking backwards in social issues. It's just too sad.

hahaha sweets? You're going to break their back, I don't think you'llmake them happy with sweets!

I LOVE YOU ♥

Heh. More than walking backwards, we're really still stuck in the same place where we've been for last 8 centuries. :(

Ooooh, but they won't know there's me inside - even though, now that I think about it, it might be fun to talk to them on the way to the Bat Cave. Maybe insult them or something. I wonder if I could bring them to have a fight with some random passerby. *g* I'd have to learn Spanish insults, though...

...

Wanna help me out? *g*

LOVE!

I'm sorry sweets, but this just reminds me of a joke from America: The Book They're addressing Europe, spec. Italy with a picture of a little boy. Tee blurb reads: "Given the stability of Italy's government, this young Neopolitan boy has a 56% chance of serving as Prime Minister at some point in his life."

Oh, the problem wasn't really that they lost by two votes just that time - they've won/lost by two votes every time since April. ^^;
