Art dump post of doo-- love, of course! ♥
Dec. 1st, 2007 10:18 pmFor my
jou! My cochef! The Rickey to my G-man!* My partner in crime! My - whatever me being her lieutenant of degeneracy makes her! (Not too well versed in military hierarchy, sorry about that. :P) All three pics in here are for her :D The first I'd told her about-- eons ago, the last one she's seen, and the one in the middle is actually a surprise. :D
* I am more than a little bit amused by the fact that, following that logic, then the (other) Jojo would so be the Chef Irvin to my G-man. What with him being G's mentor and all. ♥ Very amused.
So here we go!
Title: Quit it!
Fandom: Poppy Z. Brite's Liquor series
Characters: G-man and Rickey
Rating: G.
Notes: I... already said who it is for. *g* Comes from the short novel Bayou de la Mère!

Watch me completely ignore the fact that Rickey should befatter more comfortable! I am also pants at aging people. Very very pants at it.
But... When I was working on this, I had the most illuminating realization. I mean - that Rickey was surprised, when G got away from his grasp? Doesn't that suggest that it's not the first time Rickey does that AND that G doesn't always react that way?
I was in public when I pictured that. I think I might have leered. The face of the random guy passing in front of me certainly seemed to suggest I was looking weird, at least. But but but!
Title: Hilarity
Fandom: Poppy Z. Brite's Liquor series
Characters:Rickey
Rating: G.
Notes: Still for the same person, but this is from Soul Kitchen instead. :D

And last but not least, this is one of the reasons why the two of us should just not be allowed to chat with each other. Not without supervision, at least. You know the remark about wind-up toys in Prime?

"What you talking about? Your mom takes religion as seriously as anybody I ever knew."
"That's what I'm talking about," said G-man. "That's why I couldn't stand to be around it. Sure, New Orleans is Catholic, but it's different there. More ... I don't know ... more adaptable. You're a lapsed Catholic out here, they're gonna make you think about it every damn day of your life. You never really get away from it anyway—they get you by the time you're five, they got a part of you forever."
"Yeah?" As they passed in front of the church, Rickey made a grab for G-man. "Which part?"

"Chef Rickey? Sylvia Chow. I produce the award-winning show Switcheroo on the Clean Air network. Perhaps you’ve seen it?"
"Can't say I have," said Rickey, who rarely had time for TV beyond sports and the occasional Iron Chef rerun.
"Not a problem. I'll run down the premise for you: we take two young, attractive, fairly high-profile professionals and have them switch jobs for a week. Naturally, hilarity ensues."
Rickey took the phone away from his ear and stared at it for a second: had she actually said Hilarity ensues? He was pretty sure she had.
