Title: Diablo Rojo
Rating: G
Fandom: hahahaha. :D Surprise!
Notes: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOU :O Also, if you don't recognize him I'm probably going to cry. (Okay, not really.)
So I tried doing (two) Hambert(s) - which, for the record, is a character of

This idea flashed in my head almost as soon as Diablo Rojo started playing in my head - which is why the picture's got that title. (I really suck, suck, suck at picking titles. The only other option was something like "flash" or "lightouse". So Diablo Rojo it is... even though it doesn't have even a hint of red.) I love that song so, so much. The quality on the video isn't astounding, but it was the best I could find online. ;)
...incidentally, I also wrote "surprise!" under fandom because, I have to admit, I had no idea what the fandom name was. :P

Title: Confucius say dumbshit
Rating: G
Fandom: Liquorverse
Characters: Rickey and Paco!
Notes:
HAHAHAHA YES I GOT ANTEDILUVIAN TALES AND I DIDN'T TELL YOU. :P Actually, I only got it Saturday before last - and I got all gleeful, thinking that oh, it would be nice if I could do you an illustration for each single story (which, yes, is the reason why I didn't tell you) - then real life (and hp_springsmut) got in the way, and I half abandoned the project until, leafing through a magazine, I saw a photo that made me go "Hello, Paco."
And I loved the Working Slob's Prayer. (The prayer itself, too. :D) I had this mental image of Rickey and Paco glaring at the waitress with the same expression - or, rather, Rickey doing the same expression as Paco - and I found it way, way too cute not to try and draw it.
Of course, the cute part got lost somewhere between my head and my hands. And... they don't quite sport the same expression. But I tried?
I also butchered brutally a sentence to make the title, I know, but I loved that line and it was really too long to make a title. :P
Happy happy happy birthday, darling. Seriously. I LOVE YOU. Now you'd better go, relax and let other people work instead, so that you can concentrate on having the best day possible, Y'HEAR ME?

on 2008-02-21 11:26 am (UTC)Hehehehe! Oh shush, I've seen yours and it's brilliant. ;D
BOY am I glad you like the series! I love it so so so much, so it's really good to see other people appreciating it as well. ;)
And thank you so so so much, too. You're a darling! ♥

on 2008-02-23 10:44 pm (UTC)The bit about the fandoms made me curious :D I'm guessing HP, and possibly Torchwood, right? Discworld as well? <3
Hmmm... you know, I'm not sure that's a bad things. I think it's interesting trying to draw other people's characters using one's own style, you know? :D I've seen a few - like, a tribute from a famous artist to another - and it always had a peculiar effect on me. You could recognize the character, but it had something... different. Something more. :)
*laughs* My name? :D Which one, Brunella or Kasche? ;P

on 2008-02-28 10:32 am (UTC)Do check it out - oh god, that series is so much crack. But with serious undertones, which made me love it all the more. Plus, Gareth David-Lloyd looks great in a suit and John Barrowman inspires naughty thoughts every day of the week, which isn't something one should ignore so lightly, either... ;)
OH, DISCWORLD. My addiction to it knows no bounds. I'm still catching up with it (as much as my wallet (and the bookshop assortment) will allow ;P), but I've just finished the Watch series. Carrot and Angua! Oh, the love! And Gaspode. Oh man, I LOVE GASPODE SO MUCH. You know the bit, in Man at Arms, when Carrot and Angua first get together - all that bit with Gaspode up to and including Angua thworing him out of the room? ('You need me!' the dog whimpered, as he was carried to the door. 'I mean, what does he know? His idea of a good time is showing you the Colossus of Morpork!') I laughed so much my eyes were streaming. Seriously.
And you know, I don't think I loved the HP books half as much as I'm loving these. ;P And isn't it so good when you get to share them too, and bring more people to them? ♥
(Speaking of children's books - have you seen "Where's My Cow"? ;D)

on 2008-02-29 11:45 pm (UTC)Anyway! I will definitely put Torchwood on my reading list! I'll check the library next time I'm there! Thanks for letting me know; it makes me so happy when people reccommend good books to me.

on 2008-03-08 08:03 pm (UTC)I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading intense books sometimes, but I admit my favourites are generally lighter fare.
Yes! :D There's this one book I read, a couple years ago, which I absolutely loved - but I have yet to pick it up again, because it was so painful. (I also decided not to read the following book published by the same author, because I was sure it would disappoint me. How screwed up is that?)
Oh! No no no, I'm sorry, it's a tv series :D It's a spin off of Doctor Who, but can easily be seen as a stand alone. I have yet to see a single DW episode myself. ;P It's on BBC America, I believe?
